People that know what's going on have to speak out. There are credible media outlets that would be happy to expose this. It doesn't have to be the Sentinel or WNML.
I appreciate Skeeter going to bat for us. Wish Hubbs would speak out as well.
Not far fetched at all. He probably wanted the job badly.
The only thing they'll listen to is money or the lack thereof. They don't care what you tweet, they don't care what you paint on the rock. They only care what you spend. You want to affect change quit spending money on UT athletics and in particular UT football. I know it's hard. Many have had their seats for a long time and can't stand the thought of giving them up. But trust me, I got over it quickly with football and basketball. You will too.
Was thinking about that yesterday. That's a terrifying thought.
It's:
Fulmer
Blackburn
Mid-level boosters (Ergen doesn't count because he doesn't care)
Condredge Holloway
Former players
A few people in the media who seem to be on our side
And the fans
That's it.
Bingo.
They need to pull everybody back and fix this at the top and then start over.
At this point (on this track) you re putting the next guy (If you can find him) in a no win and you re doing this in 3 years again with a roster worse than Dooley left.
It was posted earlier that Fulmer was being silenced now. Said it was on Sports Talk.
What I dont get about Schiano and Doeren is that a dozen jobs are open and literally no other program is interested in those guys. WTF should we be?
This is literally sickening. Im going to go ahead and say it, Im never going to a game or buying any merchandise until Currie and/or Haslam is gone or by some miracle we go after and get a real, proven coach. I am done. Until then I hope theres less than 5,000 at the spring game and less than 60,000 at regular season games.
Given the situation he knows what he's jumping into and while it isn't his fault he ll take that into consideration with his terms. High risk, high payoff. For him
What I dont get, is if youre Jim Haslam youve got to know that youre the most despised man in Knoxville. Nationwide media outlets are blaming you as the one behind the scenes responsible for this mess. Plus, your company is going through litigation for mail fraud and to ice the cake, your NFL franchise is arguably the worst team in history.
Even if I had $10 Billion, Id say screw this chit Im out.
You are hated by Vol fans everywhere so why keep up the dog n pony show? Why show your face in K-town ever again? Does the guy have zero self respect or pride at all?
Me personally, youd never hear from me again.
The bottom part of your post is what's going to happen. Doeren will be fired in three years, leaving behind a Dooley level roster. The next hire, no matter who it is, will then be looking at another 3 year rebuild. So really we're talking about another 6 or 7 years at the very least in the wilderness. IF, we hire Doeren. We get a Jeff Brohm or a Chad Morris, then we might be alright.
That's true. But sending a message to UT admin and making UT an absolutely miserable place for players to be are two different things. These kids have to get behind the new coach if we want to continue to field a team.

I think Brohm is a good coach and a better option than everyone we have allegedly offered to this point. Less Gundy.
The only hire I think they could make at this point that could not only handle himself in this league and the racket around this program right now is Kiffin.
