In other words, Boosters probably did have Gruden set up, but he was never offered. Never offered Peterson, Patterson, or Chip Kelly. Jimbo is ripe for the pickings, and Texas AM is going to get him, without us even trying..

UT doesn't offer people who won't even interview with us. Gruden never wanted to coach college. There was never an offer, never a deal, never talks nor planes nor secret meetings. It was 100% trolling.

I’ve said this from the start. I don’t believe Gruden was ever offered or even contacted by Currie. I think by saying what he did about Knoxville, Rocky Top, never say never to nothing, Gruden was literally asking for the offer. But Currie never gave it. GS was his guy from the start.

Burn it down.

If Blackburn was hired, do we have Gruden?

The only thing they'll listen to is money or the lack thereof. They don't care what you tweet, they don't care what you paint on the rock. They only care what you spend. You want to affect change quit spending money on UT athletics and in particular UT football. I know it's hard. Many have had their seats for a long time and can't stand the thought of giving them up. But trust me, I got over it quickly with football and basketball. You will too.

Seems like the narrative unfolding now is that even prominent, tier 1 boosters were promised that their money would go towards a Gruden-caliber coach (if not Gruden himself).

But the plan was to hire Schiano all along.

I don't understand how the Haslams and Currie thought that was going to work. Maybe they have screwed over other millionaire boosters before and gotten away with it and thought they could do it again.

Most revolutions happen not when the rich stomp on the poor, but when they step on the middle class one too many times.

We didn't want a coach who failed to report another on child molestation charges. Why would we put up with an AD who is a puppet for a conman booster?

Once Doeren is hired, it's done. No sense picketing against him. He might be a terrible hire, but he didn't do anything other than take a job he was offered.

Bad administrations make bad decisions that lead to bad outcomes. We don't have to like it and we don't have to support it, but it's not Doeren's fault.
Given the situation he knows what he's jumping into and while it isn't his fault he ll take that into consideration with his terms. High risk, high payoff. For him
