The key is Dobbs health. If he doesn't get hurt the only time you'd need the backup is for mop up duty. You could let Jones turn and hand off as easily as Q could.

Thing is you don't know, at any point Dobbs could go down. If QD is better then he needs to get snaps. Does no good if they try to RS him and say game 9 Dobbs goes down. They do you go with the guy who was behind QD but was used to save Dormady and got a few meaningless snaps or do you blow Dormady's RS because he gives us the best chance to win. Then you have blown 2 QB's redshirt for the yr. With no experience behind Dobbs the best FR QB will get the snaps and reps. With UT not having a starter last a full yr since Kiffin was here we just have to assume it won't happen but hope like hell it does.

No reason why both Jones and Q get second team work in practice. If Dobbs goes down in week 9 is it really gonna matter that Jones handed the ball off 10x against a scrub team in week 2

We have some really lame fans out there. Just saw a Vols "fan" on another forum talking about how Butch is one of the worst gameday coaches in the SEC and is currently just stocking talent for the next coach.

"WR DeAnthony Arnett was supposed to be a major factor right away after starting out his career with 24 catches as a true freshman for Tennessee. Instead, he came up with six catches in three years. Healthy and seemingly ready to roll, he has been the find of spring ball scrimmages, turning into Connor Cook’s most dangerous downfield target.

While Arnett’s five catches for 51 yards in the spring game might not seem all that impressive, it was enough to lead all Spartan receivers and build off the momentum of a great offseason. "

Probably one of the Tennessee "fans" that has the 3 foot long gator head on the back window of their pickup truck. Probably still mad about DH firing Dooley because he liked Dooley's hair.

Does anyone else watch house hunters, property brothers, etc and ruthlessly judge the buyers? I do and I pick them apart without mercy. Just wondering if I'm the only one.

Also was a big fan of the formation where we had 3 receivers and a tight end right next to the OL. A lot of misdirection can happen from that

Ha! Randomly awesome. Yes, I do it too. The people that nitpick the paint colors or curtains are awesome. On that note, am I the only person on earth that can't afford a 500,000 dollar house?

Either that or the rest of us are getting great deals.

Dobbs stepping up in the pocket and avoiding the rush on that throw to Johnson was a welcomed sight

He is nearly Manziel-like in his ability to avoid pressure. During one of his rushing touchdowns against Iowa, I swear he dematerialized for a split second to get past the defender who was about 6 inches away from him and still missed on the tackle.
