You know, people in CA don't have a high opinion of TN, either-- and most have never been there. It gets old. Thanks for reminding me that prejudice goes both ways.

Enjoy your day. :hi:

Edit: nevermind.

Guys...

My baby girl is struggling today. She's had issues with her breathing since yesterday, which is caused from her heart failure.

I'm breaking into pieces.

They're working on her again.

Please pray for her.

I can't even begin to imagine how you feel. I am sending another prayer now.

Absolutely. I'm able to say things on here that I just can't say to my family at this time.

Thank you. Sincerely.

My heart dropped when I read your update. I love love love babies. Can't stand the thought of any sweet child in trouble.

On my knees in the office praying for you now.

Sure guys can make the same claim, but it's almost always going to go the female's way.

Well I'm like 99.8% sure that "law" you spoke of is more of a policy to follow and not a law. But I can't disagree with how you said it would play out in court, and that is why being a young white male is the most legally disadvantaged thing one could be.

I'd call it speculation based on precedent. He could be back in fairly short order if the woman decides not to press charges, but that's a huge if. If she does press charges, then he's played his last down at Tennessee just based on the time it will take for the suit to resolve. AJ Johnson is, unfortunately, the test case in this instance.

Switching gears to Jennings: how much WR did he play in high school? He does look like a threat with the ball in his hands, but I have no idea if he hands are good or if he has the footwork necessary to get the route running down. I always thought safety was considered his backup if QB doesn't work out.

Lastly: Best wishes to you and your family, OB. I know it's difficult, but be strong. Your family needs you. Keep coming here when you need a place to vent.

I guess there is the possibility she will press charges but there won't be an indictment. That would resolve much quicker than AJ's situation and he might get reinstated by fall. My understanding is a prosecutor can almost always get an indictment if he wants one, but if the prosecutor doesn't think there's much of a case then he won't push for an indictment. If it goes to trial though he's definitely done with UT football just due to timing, even if he wins in court.

Does anyone else watch house hunters, property brothers, etc and ruthlessly judge the buyers? I do and I pick them apart without mercy. Just wondering if I'm the only one.

I'm with you...some of them deserve it. I also love to watch Renovation Realities and laugh at the idiocy of some of those folks. :eek:k:

Don't understand this prejudice accusation, my posts were mainly referring to the politicians and courts out there. Good to know that people in California don't like people in Tennessee.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

I think there is a misconception that quarterback is the only position that requires skill in addition to athleticism. There is a ton of skill involved in WR beyond pure athleticism. And we have not seen a shred of evidence that he possesses the required skills to play those other positions. Jennings highlight of his athleticism came with him at the QB position. He had as many touchdowns as a QB as QD and JD.

All the critiques being thrown around about him are almost identical to what was said about Dobbs coming in as a freshman. Only difference is that Dobbs didn't get to play in a UT spring game as a highschool senior. If he did, it would have likely been a mirror image of what we saw from Jennings.

I guess I disagree with this a little. I have held back any comment on him since he was being recruited, but as to "any evidence", we have actually seen a lot.

You cannot play wide receiver or safety at an elite level without speed, he has that. And enough was seen in high school at safety to project him as elite.

You cannot play quarterback at an elite level without having the ability to "make all the throws". He has not shown that and most evidence to date says he may not have the skill set to do it. The jury is still out.

But for Juan the clock is ticking. You only have a few years to train your body to be an elite athlete. If, for personal reasons, he wants to be a college quarterback go for it. But if he wants to have a highly paid NFL career he needs to know what the timeline tells him and not make a mistake by waiting too long to reevaluate.

I am sure that he knows this, and that Butch knows it as well and that other people in his life know this. If he doesn't pan out as a quarterback someone (or more than one) person is going to have a talk with him. I am very confident Butch is one of those people and he will not make that decision lightly. Meanwhile, he has at least a year to think about it and see how he develops.

I wish the very best for him, and it may not be what I would do.

Yea, this doesn't sound like "Law".

Sounds like more of a warning to be careful and know the consequences if alcohol is involved.

There's no way an individual with a "drop" in their system is somehow unable to give consent.

When alcohol is involved it is the responsibility of the party initiating the act to get verbal consent. It is common for a female during an assault to freeze up and not speak. It's on the guy to get a clear answer when alcohol is involved because he can be charged even if she never said anything. People don't want to hear that but there are young men serving time for this reason.
