Just talked to a Kentucky alum. Has anyone heard about them completely shutting down the football program after this year? He acted like it was a real thing. I kept wondering if it was a punchline but apparently completely serious.

No way that happens, especially after last year's attendance numbers.

I don't think they would have renovated their stadium if there was even any amount of truth to that.

They are spending a nice chunk of change to renovate Commonwealth Stadium so I doubt that happens.

For those that listen to Swain, you know that (as a former player) he gets a lot of access to things in the UTAD.
He often states that he knows a lot more than he says on the radio. So, sometimes he throws out just a few tidbits and you have to read between the lines.
On Paulk, Pig, Pearson, here is what I gleaned:

Paulk - Vols must have 3 reliable RB's because of Hurds often injured - if Kelly looks good, no Paulk, if not - yes.
Pig - Internet rumors of academic problems - he has also heard this - hmmm - says Pig trying to work with several instructors to take some makeup exams.
Pearson - this was the most positive - fairly certain he will be back - case against Von very weak.

Reports seem to be completely all over the place on the 3 P's. I prefer the 6 P's better because there is no conflicting interpretation there.

There was an article o an some sports website that ran a whole story on it and why the numbers didn't add up. I asked my boss (huge Kentucky fan) and he debunked it. I went back to send him the link and before I did, I re-read. It was published on April Fool's Day...and I failed to see the correlation. It is not true. My guess is more have seen the article at a glance, and like myself, failed to read it for what it was.
Here is the link: Make sure you read the very last line of the article (and again, not it was posted on April 1st) Very tongue and cheek.

Pig is going to be fine academically. He was in much worse shape with his academics last summer and it got fixed fairly quickly.
