I never wanted Mariota or Winston in the first place. Titans picking Mariota is just to fill the seats and cause media hype like the Browns did last year with Manziel. Either way Mettenberger > Mariota. The organization is really going down hill if you can't tell. Next year the stadium will probably look like Tampa's (no offense).

EDIT: Are you ****ting me? The Eagles offered the there 1st and 2nd round picks and 3 players for the Titans #2 pick. Wtf

Not only that but Mariota has been working with the Titans under center. Don't forget the knock against PM was he played from the shotgun.

Mariota could either be great or be a bust but that's just the way of draft picks. No sure things but he does have potential. Mett is a headcase, mo.

How do you guys think our guys will do in the draft next year? (Seniors only)

Kerbyson - UDFA (due to playing out of position)
Giampapa - UDFA
Jackson - 4th round
Randolph - 3rd round
Maggitt - 3rd round
O. Williams - 5th round
McNeil - 7th round
Pig - 5th round
Weatherd - UDFA

Guys who dont make it:
Crowder
Ellis
Ashford
Arnold
J.Johnson (due to height). Most possible UDFA out of this list.

Maggitt will go higher if he leads the SEC in sacks.

Good first round. No DGB. No Bama players. Jameis goes to an awful team where he'll hopefully fade into obscurity.

Just wish the titans didn't play the QB lottery and hope they get a one man savior. Build a team, draft a QB once you have a better team to support him.

But do they take him as a DE or LB? IMO lacks the speed for an NFL LB and has been injury prone. I just dont see him as a first or 2nd rounder unless he stays healthy, improves his speed and has a huge year. A high 3rd round is where I think he falls.

Not sure he's similar to Ray though. He has another year like last year, I think he goes 2nd at worst.

I'm wondering if the Titans front office was tired of being utterly irrelevant and drafted Mariota to quickly drum up some semblance of excitement for the franchise.

I really, really hope he works out. It would be awesome if he's the next Russell Wilson. But I think he's going to struggle big time in year one and it won't necessarily be his fault.

Russell Wilson walked into the #1 defense and #1 run game. Unless you have an Andrew luck, I think doing it the Seattle way is smart. Get all the pieces together, then get the QB. Don't get your QB till you have the other pieces.

Agreed. Mariota is going to have win games by himself for a couple years and that's just not really feasible in the NFL.

Re watching the bowl game. Love the 4th and 1 at 4:48 in the first quarter. Announcers say speed (UT) vs strength (Iowa), and Lewis manhandles their RB dragging him down short of the line. This team will be stout.
