Nobody will just be handing the ball off. They will get some passes in and run the offense.

I can't see Butch pulling Dobbs unless it's a blowout. In that situation the offense would be scaled back and pound the ball to run clock. I'm sure they'll have a pass or two but nothing meaningful.

38-7 is a pretty strong statement considering how many people put us on upset alert at the beginning of the season.

It was a good showing for how much the team had improved under Butch (even though we only won one more regular season game). In 2013, that would have been a loss, IMO.

I agree it was a good statement. If our offense would have been the tax slayer offense we would have demolished them though. At that time people were thinking Utah St was going to hang with us. We would have stomped on their throat

Didn't see anything specific, but yea we seem to be targeting a bunch of LA kids this cycle, DL in particular. Not sure how many are in the Shreveport area but here's a few names.

Plus it seems the coaches are out evaluating a lot of the 2017 kids as well. By golly, I had no idea what recruiting was supposed to look like a few years back....

Ah, the days of heading into August with 4 commitments and everyone saying not to worry because we'll finish strong.

Haha, and don't forget the horrible classes full of "diamonds in the rough" 2 and 3 stars with terrible offer lists. I remember complaining about them and getting thrown under the bus and told I'm not a true fan. Lol I was right also.

I'm not missing those days at all. Only thing that sucks now is waiting for Fall Camp.

Gotta break it down into segments. At the end of the month, the summer arrivals will be on campus.

Then in June we'll start hearing early reports on which players are already beasting in workouts and informal practices.

Then practices start to heat up in July and we get SEC Media Days and the Nike unveiling.

Then August and fall camp with daily updates and practice reports.

Then next thing you know the season is a week away and we're all delirious and proclaiming the Vols will go 15-0.

I've already skipped to step 5 and trying to figure how I'm gonna get the wife knocked up. :)

The worst months of Football is May and June.

February is NSD, March is spring practice, April is spring game, May NOTHING! June NOTHING! July updates on the freshman class coming in, August fall camp.

We will start hearing stuff on guys like Kmac and Richmond next month. They move in at the end of May.
