Many of you know by now that my hubby is a uga dawg - I get 247sports emails about UT and he gets them about uga. This was an interesting article...sounds like cmr is going to implement a program similar to what CBJ is doing here but looks like he is going to hire a company run by former players...
Mark Richt bringing in ex-players for reshman symposium

it is the off-season :)

edit: he he he - just noticed the misspelled word in the link...

I keep tracking our recruiting, even during this slow period. Keep seeing new names being announced with offers. With 20-22 looking like the most likely number, I wonder who will be in the final class. Some of the names have come out of the blue.

My 7 year old daughter asked me last night when does Tennessee play football again. I told her September 5th and she then counts up the number of months away and says, wow that's a long time. Even she knows how long this off season has been....

Some of you saw this writer's work in the football forum yesterday. I was reading some of his previous articles and thought I'd share their links for those that might be interested.

His gifs and captions are great. I particularly like this one about leaving an elite Alabama defender "like a pile of mess"

and "it's time to take the DB for a ride"

Dobbs is so elusive. He's almost Manziel-like in his ability to avoid pressure.

He had a few red zone rushing touchdowns last year where ran into a group of 4-5 defenders and came out untouched.

from another 247sports article:

"According to Brett McMurphy of ESPN, the Southeastern Conference will distribute $31.7 million per school in revenue this fiscal year.

The league, which launched the SEC Network this past academic year, raked in a record $455 million for 2014-15.

That's up from a record $309.6 million last fiscal year ... an increase of almost $11 million per institution (last year, each received approximately $20.6).

So the SEC Network launch appears to be a successful generator of revenue for the 14 programs in the SEC."

McMurphy also reported that the Big 12 total revenue was "just north of $250 million" per sources."

Big 12 $250 million - SEC $455 million :neener2:

They only have nine schools. And we have 14. And we still get more per school, too.

For all you medical practitioners...

How seriously is a strongly worded, well written, and detailed letter of complaint about a doctor taken?

We had to go back to the ER at Vandy on Monday and, to make a long story short, the ER Doc pulled the "I'm a doctor and I know more about your kid than you do" card.

My wife and myself proceeded to crawl up inside of her and tear her a new one...with impunity. She refused to listen to me or my wife or even look at Ashlee's chart to see that the problem we were there for was the exact same reason that we were there for just six days prior.

It pissed me off enough to write the CEO and Chief of Staff.

So, VolDoc, Volatil, anyone else...is this going to do any good? I'm not looking to get her fired but I would damn sure like her rear end to get chewed out.

Will it?

Do it!!
And throw "Go Vols!!" at the end of the letter.

My wife works in the medical field, and in my experience, only repeat offenders draw the attention of higher ups. Maybe this doc has been complained about before.

Patient satisfaction scores...

Email the patient care advocate for the hospital. Demand a response from someone with a title.

Speaking of doctors, I am proud to say my youngest brother just graduated this morning from UT med and now has DR. in front of his name!

It's been addressed to the CEO of the hospital and the Chief of Staff...and I not only threw her under the bus, I backed over her twice.

Volatil...if you've seen Barbie mad at work, it was 10x worse...and on a scale of 1-10, she's usually about a 6 to my 10. We were both at 12.

She allowed Ashlee's heart rate to get to 190-200 bpm on a three week surgically repaired heart for nearly 2 hours...for nothing other than she was the doctor and she makes the calls.

I wish I was exaggerating.

Happy to share info. I'm still a bit pissed at Nike because the last shoes I bought (paid a fortune too) fell apart. They were barely used. I just wish Adidas had better fan gear for College Teams.

Same happened to me. 200 bucks for shies that blew out after 3 games

Weird question, but does anyone else follow Stephen White on Twitter? A VFL from Memphis and former DE for Tampa Bay...he writes for SBNation on occasion.

The guy's football analysis is brilliant, but his constant tweeting about liberal & social justice related issues is just so terrible.

Ugh.

He's an awesome writer and radio guest, but I had to unfollow him too, tweeted hundreds of times a day, rarely about sports.

Damn.

Hate the "I'm a doctor,I'm all knowing" attitude. Unfortunately, we see it from time to time.

I think your email will be addressed due to Ashlee's condition.

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of BBB mad X 10.

Sitting here listening to Jancek on the phone tell D Taylor they are looking at him as a LB

Interesting. That SLB position becomes wide open next year after Maggitt and Weatherd both leave. He could be ready to see a ton of playing time then. I'd guess he'd be that hybrid role along with Austin Smith.
