For all you medical practitioners...

How seriously is a strongly worded, well written, and detailed letter of complaint about a doctor taken?

We had to go back to the ER at Vandy on Monday and, to make a long story short, the ER Doc pulled the "I'm a doctor and I know more about your kid than you do" card.

My wife and myself proceeded to crawl up inside of her and tear her a new one...with impunity. She refused to listen to me or my wife or even look at Ashlee's chart to see that the problem we were there for was the exact same reason that we were there for just six days prior.

It pissed me off enough to write the CEO and Chief of Staff.

So, VolDoc, Volatil, anyone else...is this going to do any good? I'm not looking to get her fired but I would damn sure like her rear end to get chewed out.

Will it?

Probably a discussion from her boss...

BG - W

Oklahoma -50 / 50

Western Carolina - W

Florida - should win but we've said this before 75 % / 25 %

Arkansas - tough game 50 / 50

Georgia - tough game 50 / 50

Bama - probable loss 40 / 60

Kentucky - W

South Carolina -W

North Texas - W

Missouri - W ( said this every year they have been in the league )

Vandy - curbstompping

I say we win 2 of the 3 50/50 games. Could lose a game considered a win (Missouri or Florida )

9-3

This is how I see it, too. I'd rather us sweep the East and make it to Atlanta, which means our losses likely would be Okla, Arky and Bama-- all respectable. Losing to UF or tOBC would be most depressing, IMO.

Would we still be struggling to make a bowl in 2015 if our last two classes were in the 15th-20th range?

I shudder to think where we would be as a program with an average/bad recruiter as a head coach right now.

At our hospital, any patient complaint is taken very seriously. One ER doc, one Anesthesiologist and one hospitalist have been told to work elsewhere...
Of course have been on staff at others where nothing at all happens too
Hopefully you receive justice...

Hope Miss Ashlee is doing okay.

I actually like the way our schedule starts out tough.

There are 5 games we could lose in the first 7, but I just don't see the team dropping all of them.

Think we win 2 out of OU/UF/UGA/Ark/Bama and go 4-0 in November, including a win over Mizzou.

I agree about liking the way our schedule lines up, tougher on the front end and scaling back in the last half. We will have our best depth and healthiest players early in the season. If we should get hit by the injury bug again this year ( ie receivers ) then I think we are better able to handle the loses as the schedules lines up now. I would not want the schedule inverted and us playing Arky, UGA, UF, OU late in the year with an injury depleted squad. Their depth might decide the games, whereas we split or better the way it lines up now.

Absolutely would. Recruiting is the lifeblood as they say

I know this has probably been posted before, but I was just watching Jalen Hurd's highlights from last season. That guy is a positive yardage machine! And you can tell from the early games towards the later games that he starts picking up more and more yardage each play. Excited about this coming season!

As much as they train their staff and stress bedside manner, to the point where it's posted all over the hospital, I'm hoping VUCH has a little more accountability than your average hospital.

Did she do anything worth getting fired over? No but, I specifically referenced their mission statement of involving all parties in the care of children, patient and family, and how both my wife and myself were blatantly left out and ignored, to the detriment of none other than Ashlee.

We waited from 2130 until nearly 0100 before that b**** finally gave Ashlee what we had been begging and pleading for since we arrived. We knew EXACTLY what she needed (we've already been down this road) and we were not just ignored but utterly disregarded due to the doc's ego.

She and I went toe-to-toe to the point that I suspect that she called VUPD after our last confrontation. It wasn't 5 minutes after that they just so happened to walk by. I never made a threat or insulted her personally but I damn sure didn't take her sh**.

It's a small person who has to call for backup when their ego gets a little bruised.

Best part of the night...my wife told her to call and speak with her cardiologist to verify what we were telling her...not only did she administer the dose we had been BEGGING for since we arrived, he agreed with us about it being ridiculous that she ever wanted to admit Ashlee in the first place.

I thought Martin was a little taller. Preston looks like he's gained a little wait.

Martin is in flip flops compared to the two others wearing shoes. Preston is a legit 6'4-6'5 too. He's a big WR and it's easy to see. Martin needs to add weight though. He's not big at all.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Oliver looks like a Tackle with those arms and hips.

I pray for your little girl every night brother. I'm about to have my first boy in August and I'm not sure how I could be as brave as you, your wife and, of course, Ashlee. You are great parents already and have an inspirational amount of calm and collectiveness.

Now that I'm close to having a son, babies don't cry when they see me in public lol. Strange. Kids can tell who is fit and who isn't.

Oh, believe me, it hasn't all been calm and collected, lol. I try to temper my posts as best as I possibly can.

I know where my strength comes from and, I gather, so do you. Trust me, I never thought I could have handled something like this but, through Him, I have...doesn't mean I haven't failed a few times, trust me.

Congratulations on becoming a dad, brother! Sounds to me like you're going to be a good one!

OB79-My family has had the Vandy hospital experience. It is at best, controlled chaos at times. Without recounting our experience in detail, we were fortunate to get our daughter even admitted as her life was in extreme jeopardy. Admittance, in itself, was no easy task. However, our family will always be grateful for the brilliant and dedicated physicians at Vandy. :hi:

Some of you saw this writer's work in the football forum yesterday. I was reading some of his previous articles and thought I'd share their links for those that might be interested.

His gifs and captions are great. I particularly like this one about leaving an elite Alabama defender "like a pile of mess"

and "it's time to take the DB for a ride"
