Any news on VP lately?

This from 247 this morning...

"There’s been no big breakthrough in the past week regarding the status of suspended Vols senior wide receiver Von Pearson, who remains in limbo while awaiting results of a local police investigation into an alleged rape that occurred off campus this offseason.

Pearson still hasn’t been charged in the matter, and there’s growing optimism within the program that he won’t be charged, but obviously local police will have the final say in that matter.

As we’ve reported on multiple occasions, Pearson took care of his business academically this spring and would have enrolled in classes this summer if not for the investigation. And we continue to hear that Pearson — the Vols’ second-leading receiver in 2014 despite playing most of the season with a high ankle sprain — will be reinstated if he isn’t charged in the matter."

Thanks for the update! I really appreciate it!

I'm telling you guys this right now.

Marquez North will be getting major NFL hype by our bye week.

He is going to put a hurtin' on the Sooners, Gators, Hogs and the Dawgs again.

He is going to Meachem up his Junior year, you all just watch.

DaRick had a great sophomore year, but North is bigger, faster, and he has better hands. His stats may not be as impressive at the end of the year, but he's a better player when healthy.

Everyone wants to hype up the freshman and the true sophmores so bad...but IMO these players will be the key to us going 9-3 over 7-5.

Josh Dobbs
Kyler Kerbyson
Mack Crowder
Pig Howard
Marquez North
Curt Maggitt
Jalen Reeves Maybin
Cam Sutton
Brian Randolph

IF this core group perform the way they are capable and Jalen Hurd, Ethan Wolf and Derek Barnett continue to improve we will be getting the close wins.

We really need the few Jrs and Srs we have to be the bulk of our biggest contributors IMO to take the next step in W total.

Yep, we could lay waste to the equally talented teams with what we have but you need JRs and SRs to win against the elite and win championships.

The entire WR corps is poised to explode this year.

Having North, Croom, and Smith back at 100% will be HUGE. Plus, we'll have even better versions of Pig, Pearson, and J. Johnson. And if Malone becomes a reliable weapon and Williams is ready to play at all, that group is probably the best in the country.

I hope you guys are right. I'm tired of the talk. I want to see the production. The pieces look like they are moving to the right spots.

I am so glad Pig came back last year. He really helped this offense. But I'm ready to see some WR explosions this year. Too much potential not to see some fireworks.

Bailey Phillips de commited. Making some room for some big timers IMO. Wish him luck wherever he lands and I would say there will be a few more to de commit
