Moseley is a boss. Gonna be really good this year. Had some great pass break ups last year once he got comfortable.

Competition son!

A lot of positive news on the OL too. Me likey.

@Vol_Football: MAHONEY: this whole spring @B_Ken63's has been focused. @SandysSanders52 also, they know it's time to step up. They've been consistent

@Vol_Football: MAHONEY: You can never have enough centers. @J_Rob51 has worked at that spot. I have been happy with his snap location, too.

Good news from practice today.

@Vol_Football: JANCEK: @EMoseley_4 had three picks today. He's back. He had mono, but he kept working and learning. He's come a long way physically.

Also

@Vol_Football: MAHONEY: @KylerGreens77 is showing that ability (like @ZachFulton72). He's attacking all three, tackle, guard and center.

@Vol_Football: MAHONEY: Having Coleman back, he was a lot better than I expected him to be. His snap location from center was good.

Nice

Really love the positive OL stuff. That's huge. :good!:

Folks - I am so relaxed about the practice reports and where the program is headed. No worries. Not even concerned about DeBord as I was months ago. Seeing and hearing so much that makes sense and works in the best programs. It's all being pieced together by Butch like a beautiful mosaic. When you get these type quality reps with so much better talent on the roster than in years, it's just as it should be.

Y'all seen this Britt McHenry video? Goes all Mean Girls on this tow lot lady and earns herself a little time off from ESPN. Haha.

Video Surfaces of ESPN Sideline Reporter Britt McHenry Berating Tow Lot Employee | Bleacher Report

It's not right for her to do that regardless of the circumstances. You don't make fun of people who are poorer, presumably less educated and/or maybe aren't great looking or as good looking as you are EVER because there's a power and class differential that makes it cruel rather than snarky or funny (and yes, that goes for all of us regular folks too).

However, I wonder what, if anything at all, precipitated it or if she's just being a buh-!tch. There's obviously several cuts in the tape that may be cutting out a back and forth exchange but again you just don't treat people this way no matter what so it's pure curiosity on my part.

That said, one thing she was spot on about was her comment about tow companies only caring about taking peoples money.

I understand tow companies being jackwads and know many run cons when it comes to trolling and towing cars that are parked in lots or on the street (many even tow vehicles illegally) and I understand that getting towed puts folks in a foul mood but it's not an excuse to treat people badly unless there's other things we don't know about and even then you should have more sense and politeness than what this looks like.

She made a major mistake here, imo, on several levels.

From Overton High School in Nashville and was committed to play at UT but signed with the Red Sox

Mookies senior yr, Hillsboro played against them. They kicked our ass 12-3. I remember Mookie being on 1st, Overton batter singled to right field and Mookie went all the way home. He was so damn fast. Didn't know he was committed to UT tho. I know he was a top baseball recruit in the state.

Ahh.. didn't know he was having issues. He'll be good to go by fall practices though I guess

Team is going to look completely different in the fall. Gotta be at least 10 impact players coming back from injury/non-contact, plus all the freshman arrivals.

yep. i wouldnt take too much out of spring game. like you said may be 10 or more impact guys coming back from injury this summer and with the group of newcomers.

Yeah, they'll be very well rested by then. Hope they don't get behind though.

Don't post often, but I was a little worried about injured players being behind. I haven't followed Vols Football as closely for as long as some people on here, but in the 12 years that I have followed obsessively I have never seen a coach do what Butch has done this spring. He has made a conscious effort to schedule walk throughs and practices in a way that keeps all the injured players mentally and physically (as much as they can anyways) involved.

Granted I'm no insider, so I am only going off reports and interviews. I'm sure this is a common practice among all coaches, but it's nice to see that our coaching staff has made a great emphasis on continuing the growth of injured players.

Outside of Dooley doing freshman only practices to begin fall camp a couple of years ago, I can't remember any other coach really involving injured players in a normal practice.

-No surgery.
-Yes the rest is swollen - either side of the patella has swelling and there's a spot on top of the patella with fluid (I haven't fallen but I think I twisted it real good last week when I initially injured it).
-No redness unless you look real hard for it and that could just be me trying too hard.
-Not any warmer than the other one

When this first happened it hurt to straighten my leg out, bend it all, or walk and when I did walk it was very unstable. The worst was getting up from a sitting position or god forbid squatting down (I stopped that right away). It hurt bad the first 2 days and slowly eased off until it only reminded me when I did something wrong. Everything pointed to a minor meniscus issue except there was no swelling, warmness, or discoloration at that time just the pain of a meniscus injury.

After about four of five days, I felt good. Only rarely did my knee hurt and it felt minor so I went up the stairs. Nothing happened the first time but the day after my second trip up the stairs, the knee is swollen pretty good.

So what you are seeing is the joint effusion fluid pushing out the joint capsule. If there is still that much fluid, a steroid shot may significantly decrease the swelling and allow the meniscus tear to quiet down.

Grab one of the Vols' team docs...throw your academic weight around...you are a VIP. :)
