I did, I think there was something missing. Whoever provoked it deserves the brunt of the consequence. The QB deserves what he gets, I'm not debating that. I'm debating the woman walking away free if she provoked it.

I personally don't hit women, but if one is going beserk on me, I will try to restrain.

He unloaded on her and split...:gone: He knew he was on the wrong side of this issue.

This conversation is both embarrassing and disgusting. It would appear that some of our posters as well as some on the FSU thread grew up without being taught the difference between right and wrong.

Damn this conversation of that Florida State QB has drawn on too far, but I guess I'll throw in my pennies as well.

If you think woman are 100% above striking no matter if they are assaulting you then you must also believe that women are the lesser sex and should be home builders instead of equal workers. This might be considered chivalrous, but is definitely sexist.

If you agree 100% with dude Mike Tyson's Punchout-ing the girl then you have violent tendencies, but aren't sexist.

I, personally, don't agree with the guy punching her at the point he did because he could have attempted to remove himself from the situation-- or never rudely push in to begin with--, but if that woman had followed him still going at him? Then I would have been fine with him defending himself. I believe the woman should also be charged since equal rights and all that crap is so big now days.

Gotta let common sense reign on this Mock. This drunk chick was as much a threat as a toddler. He was in no danger... just pissed at the disrespect. If it had been a 300 lb man? Bet his true diplomatic skills would've come into play. As is, this was Kramer inflicting dominance on his dojo of 10 year olds.

What he did was bad but that doesn't absolve the girl of starting the whole damn incident. When you do something stupid and physically violent with alcohol involved generally you get as good as you give.

Wait, so he gets a pass for grabbin her from the start?

Im trying to find this footage some of you are watching.

" The woman suffered bruising near her left eye, swelling of the left cheek and upper lip, and a small cut near the bridge of her nose, according to court records."

Yeah she had it coming....smh

Interesting tidbit in the Dooley article.

No difference in kicking between Wilson and Nike balls. For years we heard the opposite on here, and lamented why they would not change. Well, there you have it

I just want to say one thing. Thinking men shouldn't beat up or hit women is not sexist. It's moral and logical. I hope that was just a bad joke and people don't actually believe that garbage. Go vols!

Thank God Dooley is gone. That article shows more of how much he was in over his head. Thank you Dooley for hiring Sunseri. If he hired a better DC, then he could possibly still be here. And the players we're most excited about now would not be here. If Dooley's only mark on the program is the VFL program and design's in the facility, so be it. Fans don't see within the facility. We see wins and losses. Like the rest if the nation. Butch is here to bring us back to prominence and revelance. And most important, wins. Which was never Dooley's forte. Thank God for Butch leading us out of the dark times and building this program back up to playing for championships. The future is bright now...

Very true. The weird silver lining in all of that was that the Sunseri hiring was such a failure. Given the talent on that 2012 team, they could have easily had a 7 or 8 win season and Dooley would have still been around. Thank you Sunseri for being such an epic failure and purging us of our awful coaching hire.

Lock the FSU guy up. I don't necessarily think the girl was blameless (this is open to some interpretation), but I do think he stepped far over the line of what was appropriate physical force in that situation. That was disgusting.

Having said that (and it doesn't necessarily apply to the specific scenario here... just a general comment), I do think there's a culture at some bars that women can get as physical and violent as they want with no repercussions. I've seen it myself. I'm NOT suggesting that they should be blasted in the face whenever they do so. But there's a social tendency to blame the man in any altercation between a man and a woman, and that isn't the case nearly as often as we're led to believe. When a woman initiates violence, she should be punished just like anybody else.

Probably a discussion for a different thread though. So I'll leave it at that.

It's crazy how things work out because without Dooley being a fool there is no Butch. I'll take that suffering for our long term success that is coming.

He's been charged with a misdemeanor...he ain't going to jail! He had more to lose than the citation will cost. He's out at Florida State but he "Didn't let nobody PUT THEIR HANDS ON ME ". :aggressive: When he wins the starting job at Norfolk State? He can brag about punking a drunk chick.

This is a half-serious question: What if "Caitlyn" Jenner hit you and you struck back, would society and/or the legal system now view it differently than in Mixon, Lewis, and Johnson cases? What if it was a hermaphrodite (potentially has a Y chromosome yet may have external female genitalia)? What if it was Ronda Rousy?

It goes to crux of your guys' argument: should wrongs be treated equally, or is whoever starts the fight more culpable, or should the dominant/stronger individual get harsher punishment? If the latter, how do you determine stronger: whoever wins the fight or who bench presses more?
