Spurrier loves talking trash about us.
And so it begins RT @JoshatTheState: Steve Spurrier: "There are people in Knoxville and Fayetteville still doing cartwheels over going 7-6."

Spurrier: "We were 7-6, same as Tennessee & Arkansas. We were doing cart wheels & high-fiving after that Independence Bowl game"

Steve Spurrier has taken the podium and said South Carolina's 7-6 record was the same as Arkansas and Tennessee and they were celebrating 15m

I wouldn't lose any sleep if we got 15 yards for a player doing cart wheels and high-fiving after we score one (of many) on USCjr...

"Butch Jones says Tennessee has a long way to go, too many unproven areas dependent upon freshmen."

There's your we're young excuse.

Regardless of how true it is or not, and no matter how many recruits hear that and think they have a shot at early PT; if I hear anymore excuses about this team I'm going to vomit.

Win. Just win.

He isn't saying they aren't going to win or be good. He knows they will be good. He is just telling the facts that it's still going to be a freshman and Soph dominated roster. He is as confident in this team as anyone but he also is letting people know that there are a few positions where one or two injuries could be a major setback. Our depth is very strong on defense. On offense, it's all about keeping the QB and RBs healthy which is easier said than done. If we can stay healthy his squad goes a long way

It's PR Butch, and I have no problem with it. You know he expects to win just like everyone else.

Year 3, 18 returning starters. Its time to start stepping up to the plate with some confidence.

I'd like to see him go Rick Flair up there, start whooooing, kick the podium over, slap a reporter, and yell Go Vols B!tch! just 4 inches from the camera before walking out.

It's not about confidence. It's about not telling a young team that they are good and making them hungry. It's not to announce to the world that you have good players and the team believing the hype.

I guarantee you that they are confident.

Then you better get a bag ready or get close to a toilet because that's what we are all going to hear a lot of from him in the next several weeks...and he is right. This team has a much greater level of talent than in previous years, but they are still young (though not inexperienced) and aren't very deep which could come back to haunt them. But we both know he EXPECTS to win regardless of what he says...

Been watching SECMD coverage all day on SECN and ESPNU. For anyone needing to choose, go SECN, hands down better coverage and analysis.

Also: Booger and Marcus Spears loves them some Vols!!!

I don't blame him. If my record after 10 years was equal to that of someone who had been on the job for only 2 years, and had lost to the latter both of those years, I'd be looking for every way to make fun of and put them down as well.

I really really like Greg McIlroy as a broadcaster. He never comes off ignorant or unprepared.

Arby's is great when I'm paying. But when it's getting paid for, Arby's don't cut it.

Lol, I getcha.

We didn't even do Arby's when I visited this summer. That bill can get HIGH. When I discovered the family could eat at Salsarita's for the same price as a value menu order from Taco Bell or Wendy's... Well, let's just say, we spent more time there than some of the workers

If Steve Spurrier eats at Arby's, Butch takes his guys to ____________

Fill in the blank.

I say Chipotle for fast food... Not sure about where for steak dinners...
