Still hard to believe Cam was a Doofus recruit. He was a 3* so maybe not so surprising lol.

Who do you guys think was/is the best Doofus recruit?

Cam
CP
AJ
Maggitt
DaRick
J Hunter

Am I missing anyone else? DD had some good guys in his first class that were EE's also and was fortunate to keep them bc of the timing of kif leaving and him being hired.

Imagine asking this question in a couple of years with all the studs Butch is pulling. List will be quite a bit longer, I'm sure.

The funny thing about Dooley recruiting Sutton is he wanted Cam at WR if I'm not mistaken.

He absolutely lays a lot of big hits. There is no argument to be made there, sorry. Flashy plays though, no. He isn't a flashy player but he is steady as a rock.

He's made great plays on the ball when thrown at. Utah State pick was nice. The Georgia pick was another good one. The Iowa pick that got took off the books was great. His first ever pick was super flashy. The dude is a fun CB to watch. The Florida pick was another elite play. He's a superstar with his skill set.

My original post was that he's a top cb in the nation but doesn't get recognition bc he doesn't make that many flashy plays. People argued with me so I said "show me".:hi:

The Football Forum is perfect for you. We're more the glass half full type in recruiting forum.

Cam Sutton is flat out a game changer and I know this because the way every team that beats us avoids him. When they don't, he makes a play. He also has a punt return for a touchdown which makes him more awesome.

Vernon Hargreaves is a bad dude also. Love them both and they are nasty on the field. Only issue with him is durability.

Best flat out cover CB in the country may be in Clemson. Named Mack Alexander, name should be familiar. Lol

@patrickbrownTFP: Just noticed Da'Rick Rogers is now with the Chiefs, thus he's reunited with Tyler Bray. It's like it's 2011 all over again over in KC.

Just because you don't buy an argument doesn't mean there isn't substance. You can win this argument in your head all you want, that doesn't mean you're correct though.

It's not an argument. It's just facts. Point me to this abundance of big plays and big hits by Sutton that have escaped me.

I give him all the credit in the world that he's a great player. But I'm calling a spade a spade.

All I know is that Cam Sutton had an awesome leaping INT of a Connor Shaw pass in 2013 (his only thrown INT of the season) that helped keep us in the game until Palardy could nail the game winner.

Nvm, I wanted to post a video I saw that showed Xavier Hawkins from Fulton HS have a huge run in the Oregon State spring game. Good to see local talent doing well across the country.
