You're right. We will likely have at least 1-2 more high profile dismissals before the season starts.

Gracias, sir. We have had a lot of support and prayers. It really has been awe inspiring how many people have reached out.

I will share this, however...as bad as our situation has been, it's been extremely humbling to be in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. There's a little boy directly across from my baby girl's room who had a heart transplant on Tuesday. This littlw boy and his parents have lived and endured finding out about his heart defect, at least one failed surgery to repair it, enduring the wait for a heart transplant, and then dealing with the mixed emotions of knowing what that meant once they received one. They have dealt with this for two and a half years.

Folks...I am immeasurably blessed. I have two other healthy, beautiful, intelligent, and rambunctious little girls, not to mention the fact that I'm married to my best friend.

It will be a roller coaster of emotions until her heart defects have been fixed but, no matter what, I have been blessed more than I deserve.

What a waste. Butch is going to have to hire chaperones for the team if this crap keeps up. Or maybe just give teammates tranquilzer darts to shoot whenever somebody starts to do something stupid. Or both.

rumor on the FB forum, not sure if anywhere near accurate.

"Last night one of our prospective fraternity brothers was DDing for us in Knoxville and encountered an extremely distraught girl who was awkwardly standing outside the gate of one of the off-campus living areas in the Fort.

When we approached her to ask what was wrong, she said that a football player had sexually assaulted her. She said it was one of the WRs. We offered to give her a ride to the library because UTPD is usually hanging out around there and she didn't want to go to the station. After dropping her off there, the police took over. It is my knowledge several witness statements were given by those involved (a couple fraternity members were also giving statements).

This is all I know at the moment, but it seems like we just can't catch a break. More important, however, is the young girl's health. Just be prepared to hear some sort of news on this if it matures into a criminal investigation."

This is so weird... About a month ago someone asked about Von being in trouble on a SEC board. We all told him no and kinda laughed at that because there wasn't even a rumor about him. And now, Von's in trouble. WTF?

Some kid on VN broke this news early this morning and from his reports, girl mentioned Pearson and nobody else (except it was near Pig's apartment) Hopefully they are just witnesses, as it says. Edit: and I have been swansoned (or Lynxed)

Its unclear whether she would want to file charges/ go through with everything, but regardless if Von did it he should be gone. No room for this at Tennessee. Innocent until proven guilty for sure, but Butch should suspend him immediatly while investigating. That, and he should make this message clear to the entire team.

It's setting up to be a good ole fashioned weekend full of Tennessee traditions:

1. Horrible weather to dampen an otherwise great event.
2. A rape investigation involving a star player.
3. Only enough healthy players to run 7v7.

But at least there won't be hundreds of prospectus student-athletes on campus to witness it all these great traditions first hand....

At this point, Butch going to have to make these dudes sign a contract of no sex for your 4 yr career unless it's your girlfriend, fiancé, or wife to protect these dummies

Best spring practice in years and tons of optimism heading into the summer?

Let's add a rape investigation of a starting WR and a monsoon to the big event that caps the spring camp session.

If she doesn't file, I would question the validity of it.

From NEWS SENTINEL: During the initial investigation, KPD investigators took statements from the victim, several witnesses — five men and a woman — and alerted the Sexual Assault Center, according to Holliday.

Two UT players are listed among the six witnesses. Wide receiver Alton “Pig” Howard, 22, of Orlando, Fla., and defensive end Dimarya Mixon, 20, of Compton, Calif.
