9-4 (5-3) with the worst loss being by 5 to Bama is a damn good year after the last 7 years of no more than 7 wins and multiple ass whippings. This one stings but we fought like hell and now we are about to string together some ass whippings of our own.
Honestly, I'm not even mad at the coaches. Medley killed us today, and Bama made the two plays they needed on the final drive to win. Martin and Sutton were there, but failed to make the play.
Other than Medley hard to complain about anything. 2 true freshman on the offensive line against a NFL front seven and we out rushed them. And had the ball at the end with a TD to win. Hats off to Butch and the team. Now go win out.
Agreed. While I don't feel great, it's the best I've felt after a loss since probably Georgia 2013. Butch has closed the gap on all our rivals now. Just need to get some more wins against them now.
I just don't see how beating up on the SECE cellar dwellers and a homecoming cupcake is supposed to compensate for dropping another winnable game to a bitter rival late in the 4th. Yeah, it was close... but 0-10.
Maybe 1st string but depth is still a huge problem. We won't be able to overcome the inevitable injuries. Bama is 3 deep with 4 and 5 stars at virtually every position.
