Butch is a hell of a motivator. I mean, one of the best in the country. Combine that with being a top 3 recruiter and there's no doubt we are going to start steamrolling teams.

This game shouldn't have been that close. He's doing big things here. I'm back onboard.

Agree Butch did not cost us this game. Medley has missed a field goal in everyone of our losses.

I thought the coaching was fine and the play was fine. We just lost a tough hard fought game. Hard to be ashamed of this one. But I'm sure Volnation can find a way to be.

I'm far from being ashamed. I think they're on the right track. I just see the pieces of the puzzle a little different than you. I think we need a couple of more top 10 classes and I'm not happy with 3 or 4 of our coaches.

I was sitting in the Tide Pride section and the Bama fans were very welcoming. They also wished us a safe trip home. There wasn't a VOL fan around.

I have always heard that the actual alum's of Alabama are very nice. The non-alum is a different story.

The biggest pain in all this is that 7-0 right now was a real possibility with a chance this year...

All the talented freshman and sophomores should be quality depth. If not there is a major problem.

Quality depth is when those talented freshman and sophomores are juniors and seniors.

Barring an epic collapse by FL we should finish second on the east (assuming UGA falls to one more team). That's not bad. Yes we should have beaten Florida and should be headed to Atlanta. But that's in the past. Win out. Get some of these stud recruits remaining on the board. And let's move forward!

In a rarity for me I was pulling for Vandy. I want Mizzou to have nothing to play for when we face them. We are light years better than them but something about that game worries me.

What depth? They are playing freshmen too. Two were in the secondary.

Payne started at NG versus Arkansas. No one is flat out loaded depth wise. They don't really even have a No.2 RB.

I won't argue that. It's been painful but I see improvement in most places. Waiting to be great just sucks.

No doubt. As long as the players continue to buy in and recruiting continues to go well, it's just a matter of time.

I'd go as far as saying that next year if we aren't 9-3 or better, Butch isn't our man. We will be stacked and excuses won't fly.

Maybe 1st string but depth is still a huge problem. We won't be able to overcome the inevitable injuries. Bama is 3 deep with 4 and 5 stars at virtually every position.

And we almost just straight butt kicked them despite all the adversity. This game did nothing less but help the program in many ways. I hate Fine butt but he is right. UT had to come out and show they could compete with the tops teams in the SEC and they did this. Ole Miss won with five TO's and we stood toe to toe without that and with a stupid kicker who couldn't make one FG if his life depended on it. I said many times we may have the best 22 of any team in the SEC but we have lost most of them to injuries and we just beat Georgia and then Bama blew them out and we had the lead with four minutes left and in a hostile road game. Depth is finally about to not be a problem when we will be two deep with experience next year. We go 8-4 this year and the program is still moving upward. Get off the train now and you will regret it.

For those that actually understand many aspects of the game that would not be fair to say. LA understands the game.
