Come on, chavis! You have to be a little encouraged by the progression of this team. 4 losses by 17 points. Yeah it stinks we have 4 losses, but Oklahoma alone beat us by 24 last year, and Ole Miss by 31. Look how much we have closed the gap. We are on the cusp...one more big recruiting class, a coaching change or 2, and the staff continuing to learn from coaching mistakes, and we will be ready to contend in 2016.

I hate to be that guy but...

We lose how many real Senior or early entry Juniors? 5?

Adding V Tech instead of Oklahoma should be 4-0 non conference and 4-0 vs Vandy, KY, SC, and Missour.

That's 8 wins before the big 4

Should be a 9-10 win team next year

I'm usually not ever happy or see any positives after a loss.

But for the first time in 5 trips to Tuscaloosa I'm leaving and excited about the future of our team.

Big game next week for us, and hopefully next year ends this 'Bama streak; their fans know it too.

I didn't make it there this year, but I would guess their fans left knowing playing Tennessee is not going to be fun for a while now. It sucks that we lost, but man we went punch for punch with them.

and unless I missed something, got out of there with no injuries......THAT is big for the remainder of our games.

Good point. I don't remember any UT players staying down for injury.

I'm cool with that game. Disappointed that we lost but not making any big-picture conclusions other than that we have made progress. It's not a moral victory, it's a loss, but it's the type of loss that a relevant team suffers to another relevant team.

No rational fan expects to beat Alabama. It's not Western Kentucky. We played well and it was a tight game For 4 quarters. Our offense needs to stop disappearing in the middle of the game and our defense needs to start closing late in the 4th. We need to start winning those games.

All things considered, this is the least disappointed I've been after a loss this season.

I will actually go so far as to say......games like GA and Bama actually make me more pissed about the OU and FL games.

A Bama fan at church before the season told me she and her husband like to go to the Tennessee game each year because "Bama always wins." She was a frantic mess tonight, per Facebook. That's progress.

To me, it's clear the team grew up. I thought the GA and Bama were well played, well coached competent games. OU and FL were for about three quarters and then everything went down the tubes. That's progress. GA and Bama were both games worthy of our proud history.

I'm just not fired up about anybody else left on our schedule and that includes TBA.

My gf is an ole miss fan. Watching them dismantle A&M makes me feel better.

A&M is relevant. They're ranked. We'd like to be where they are. If we played their schedule, I have no doubt that we could be.

Same here. I love this team. They are both frustrating and electric to watch all at once. One of the most talented teams we've had in years.

Really wish some would drop the NIT bs. It's not like we've been awesome the last few years and all of a sudden lost some heartbreaking games this year. We are in the midst of a long rebuild. We started out with horrible talent. You can see it coming together. After the last few years of getting blown out 4 times a year, I'm pretty satisfied with how far we've come.

This season could have been great. Those with crazy high expectations weren't wrong. This team could have been undefeated. The talent is there. Can't wait to watch these players develop.

Whatever, buddy! I'm fired up to start steam rolling some teams, and build momentum for next year. Win out and get a decent bowl bid...win and go 9-4 with our 4 losses by 17 points. Land another elite recruiting class, get a competent WR coach, coaching staff learn from their mistakes and make corrections, and we are a SEC contender next year.
