We played solid on first down I agree but both big runs for henry were on 1st down and Lane went to far away from the run on those 2nd 5-7to go. That's were I think he was pathetic

Agree. My point was more about 1st down overall. Not Henry.

Dropping the safeties was a bold move. Worked great though. Kiffin didn't know what to do.

Bold for sure and if someone had suggested that during this week on here I would have said they were beyond ignorant

Still don't know how it worked other than Lane coached like an idiot tonight

Sumlin is a fraud.

I was thinking about this too. Not that he's a complete fraud, but he's basicallly won one big game, the Manziel win against Bama a few years ago and essentially seems to be a coach who is going to go 8-4, 9-3 pretty constantly.

GFW,

Do you believe today's performance will have a positive impact on recruiting or minimal impact on the rest of this year's recruiting class?

Prob has a pretty big impact as long as we win out. If we win out then Butch can point to UGA/Bama/ Florida minus one play as evidence this program is back competing with the elites of the SEC. None of the got our butt kicked we a re far away stuff. Now it's one or two guys can get us over the hump

A loss is a loss is a loss, but you'd have to be blind not to see the progress from '13 to '14 to this year.

If that progress keeps up, they'll be just fine. It's coming. The losses suck, but the reasons for them are going away.

After game stuff..

I noticed some Bama Fans complaining about play calling, but truth is, Barnett was held constantly or it would have been a lot worse for them.

Bama also said they were beat up, but at least they had all their best players for most of the game.

The guy we know who was a GA fan and switched to Bama accused us of using Peyton Manning to coach. Said that our quarterbacks (Like Worley during GA game last year) become world beaters when he is on the sidelines.

Definitely need to "Parlardy" Medley.. It's insane how important kickers are to a football game. Still, don't know if we'd won that one--it would have changed the whole dynamic of the game if he made those kicks.

Yea, but that's what happens when you have a scumbag and a moron back to back as coaches.

When is the last time we had 9 wins in a season?

I think we won 10 in 2007.

2013: 5 wins
2014: 7 wins
2015: 9 wins (very realistically)
2016: ??

If have 11 wins, it means we were either 10-2 in the regular season, didn't win the SECE, and won the bowl game..... or it means we went 11-1 regular season and lost the SECCG and the subsequent bowl game.

Very nice trend, nonetheless.

Encouraged to see most of you have handled yesterday well. Hopefully the outliers feel better after a little sleep.

A few thoughts:

- we were very fortunate Bama dropped a couple interceptions
- our OL really struggled in pass protection, but DeBoard did a good job of recognizing this and calling more plays for Dobbs to throw on the move.
- we need to recruit a kicker. medley has plenty of leg, but he needs to be pushed in the spring and in the fall. Constant competition will make him better.
- great game for our pass rush. Best in years against a big time opponent.
- Hurd, Kamara and Dobbs will put up video game numbers the rest of the season.
- honestly, we shouldn't have a game decided by single digits the rest of the regular season. Should boat race all 5. I think we will.
