Hunter wasn't. I don't believe CP was on Rivals or 247. J. James definitely wasn't.

Not sure what the all the different sites said, but CP was the only recognized 5 star if memory serves. The others were highly rated, but not viewed as 5 stars IMO.

Statistically uscJr is one of the worse teams in FBS. Worse than Vandy and UK.

Easiest to hardest games remaining

1. Tennessee Tech
2. USC Jr
3. Kentucky
4. Missouri
5. Vanderbilt

Qd transfer would be bad news.

One hit to Jarrett, and its next man up.

4 years ago, we got down to the 4th string QB for Bama. You ready to roll with whoever is AFTER CJ Lewis?

S.Jones isn't a bad player. Can throw it well and he's athletic. I liked him more than QD coming out. Never saw why everyone was crazy over him outside of him throwing the deep ball. He looked Peterman Florida level against Northwestern. Lol

QD got to throw 4 times against Northwestern. Good grief.

Just for recruiting sakes I think we hire s splash OC

Unfortunately, Butch won't do that. He had the opportunity 2 years ago to go out and get a marquis OC and hired Debord. I think Gillespie will be our OC after this year, and he may end up being great, but we don't know. The thing is this is Butch's offense, so I don't think we will see a ton of difference no matter who we have calling plays.

The thing I've observed this season is that this offense looks great (close to 700 yards on TAMU and 600 on Florida) when we have a reasonably healthy OL and not so great when we don't.

Do some of you not realize that players wear braces and boots after games for the smallest of injuries, just to immobilize the area and let it rest and heal?? Great day! We have 2 weeks to get healthy...almost all of the media people have said almost everyone will be back after the bye, except those who are already out for the year. Take a Xanax from Vollady's/Lovemesomebigorange's bottle and chill out!!

Good observation. I'm still wondering why we don't run for plays out of the split back set, as well as putting the slot man (Byrd) in motion and utilizing him as a 3rd read on the read option play. We used to do that a lot with Von last year, and we would gash teams running the ball. I just don't get it. I want an OC who, when he sees a play killing the opponent, will continue running that play until the defense proves they can defend it.

Why is college football the only sport for which significant injuries to multiple key players is not an acceptable answer for poor performance?

If, for example, the Braves had lost Smoltz, Glavine and Maddux to injuries at the same time in the 1990s and had missed the playoffs, people would say that was understandable. Tennessee loses 10+ key guys for the Bama game and we lose big and everyone now says we need to fire all our coaches and others say we've been completely exposed as an overrated fraud.

Makes no sense.

And he looks bad.... IMO

Looks Bad? He only played what 4 plays maybe against the number 1 team? You just a JG fan so nothing QD does will never be good enough. Just let them battle out next and the best will be playing. But all this giving up on QD I just don't get. JG maybe the second coming of Cam Newton but QD could actually be a great QB. Just have to wait and see.

Because many fans only pay attention to what the media says. The media's mission is to pump Bama up each and every opportunity, so they don't say much about our injuries, and everyone thinks we just don't have the talent to play with them. Fans think everyone should have a stacked roster like Bama and not have any drop off from 1st string to 4th string. A healthy 2016 TN team can go toe to toe with Bama...I don't care what the "experts" say. The team we had to field on Saturday makes it impossible.

There is a lot of angst up in here. With the injuries, I can see why there is a lot of it. But, somebody will step up. We have far superior talent to the five remaining teams on our schedule. They will have some injury issues too. Somebody will step up. We will win our last five and get another shot against Bama in the SECCG. Florida will lose at least one more and we will have a successful year. We continue to improve each year. Next year, we will be in the hunt for the East again. So screw Florida, screw Georgia and screw Bama. It is still great to be a Tennessee Vol!
