I have been wondering about the pitiful S&C staff for a little while. I got us moving on from Lawson last year due to the ridiculously high amount of shoulder injuries we had. I can easily see how shoulder injuries could be attributed to an S&C program. But the true question I have is how many more focused ankle strengthening exercises do we need to do to prevent all of the ankle injuries we have had and how many more head banging exercises do we need do to to prevent concussions? You bring in the man with the focused ankle and head plan then you have found our S&C guy.

Most of them are on defense. Could it be Shoop doesn't teach how to tackle correctly?

Or could it just be that this coaching staff doesn't teach how to play football properly? Idk, idk.

The coaches aren't always right, but I question anyone who thinks they have more information than the coaches and staff.

Player decisions go through position coaches, coordinators, and the head coach. Let's not forget all the administrative personnel, grad assistants, and QC guys giving input. I imagine group captains also give input.

I don't think watching games, high school highlights, and maybe a few snippets of practice is enough to warrant feeling like our opinions should be gospel.

Again, coaches get things wrong all the time, but to be so self-assured in our opinions with our tiny fragments of information seems naive to me. Voicing one's opinion is not only fine, it's expected on a message board. I just think it should also involve a little bit of humility and self-awareness.

Obviously, my opinion is not the norm.

Having information is only part of it. Using that information to best advantage is what really elevates. Are our coaches consistently doing that? That seems to be what many are questioning.

AK is gone after the Bowl. He still has a chance at an SEC Championship with a freakishly great performance against his former team in Atlanta. Would be a great way to close out his SEC career. Repeat of the performance against A&M in the championship game without the turnovers could give us a shot.

I cannot believe he hasn't been the feature back for the last two years after seeing what he is capable of the last several games!! So frustrating! A true VFL tho to stick it out!

Charlie Campbell has AK going to the giants at No.23 overall now. Said that scouts believe he has Jamal Charles type of upside

The selfish part of me wants AK to stay and establish himself (and the team) as a national powerhouse.

I think he'd be a legitimate Heisman candidate too.

Patrick Brown's response to someone saying Shoop is sunseri 2.0 :

"No. Just no. No.
The 2012 defense allowed 471 yards and 36 points per game.
The 2016 defense is allowing 417 yards and 27 points per game."

Mr brown should compare the rosters of those two defenses

Yep, cause any DC could lose almost their entire starting defense as well as many backups, be forced to play 4th and 5th stringers at multiple positions and not miss a beat! Heck, other DCs could still field a top 25 defense with their 4th string D. Come on guys! Shoop has to be terrible

It's amazing what people convince themselves of around here.

Shoop has peanut butter, jelly, and bread left on defense, and everyone's wondering, "where's the beef?!"

if you wana see a ranking that is unbiased and deadly accurate check out the fpi. it has lsu at 6 and penn st at 21. we are 17. they should let computers chose the playoff teams with no human input then noone would be able to complain and also the out of conference schedule would get beefed up or your out.

We already had computers choose the championship and people hated it then, too. Truth is, people jist like to complain.
