You never have much gray area in your posts, but it is appreciated. :)

Thanks for the input.

Del Rio's completion percentage is worse than Dobbs, and his TD/INT ration is even worse than that. Florida better hope he gets better because that defense doesn't look like it will.

Remember before our game I kept saying I wanted Del Rio to play? He had about 3 dropped picks versus Kentucky when I watched him. He's Matt Simms level slaw at QB. 😂😂😂😂

Look at it this way. If Florida loses, we're still alive for a division title and a trip to Atlanta. If Florida wins, we're in line for the Sugar Bowl.

Not disagreeing, but how are we in line for the Sugar Bowl? Is that assuming that Florida loses to FSU and Bama and that they will then have four losses and we will be more attractive?

Even if Florida beats FSU, assuming they lose to Bama would put them at an identical 9-3 record with a more recent loss. In that case I imagine they'd go to the Citrus.

Think about that...a loss is not just a loss. If you don't lose a game all season, and lose in the SEC championship, you are not the SEC champ. If you lose in the playoff you are not the NCAA champ. WHEN you lose has always mattered in CFB, and it should be that way. Some teams get better over the course of a season, and other teams get worse. It matters how you're playing at the end, not the beginning.

A regular season loss is a regular season loss. That better? WHEN you lose in the regular season shouldn't matter if it doesn't change anything. If alabama loses to auburn in the regular season should that change your opinion about them being the best team? No because they've proved it all season, 1 game doesn't change that.

They clearly live off their defense. I just wondered why Del Rio was better given the stat differential. Stats tell a story, but they don't tell the whole story.

You really answered your own questions above. Appleby had less perceived upside. However, he brought stability and game experience, so the limited offense they have responded. Del Rio was all perception of talent. He's not all that talented IMO. His upside is probably average to good.

Since no games matter now..lets just skip to the playoffs then.

I'm thinking about going over there and walking on. You've seen me. I think I could pull it off. I'd be good for a play or two. Then they'd have bring the ambulance out, not the cart, maybe land the helicopter mid field. Probably just a backhoe and dig a hole.

As long as you give your all for that 1-2 plays, then it will be worth it.

I kind of figured there was more to the story--hence my question.

I appreciate the responses. Upside of the younger makes sense when abilities are fairly even.

I guess no one else watches the Gators enough to give a super in-depth presentation. I don't blame them. :)

My word...

Did you see what Dobbs did to KY? Lamar Jackson will pass out before he gets all the yards he can get

Ha - not saying they'd win or that I'd bet on the outcome, but Louisville has played down to its competition a few times this year (UVA, Duke). The Wildcats will be out for blood. I'm only making the point not to be surprised by the outcome, if it happens. But again, I wouldn't put money on it.

@CFBFilmRoom: Tennessee's rushing attack definitely has a different look without Jalen Hurd.. missing his power running style https://t.co/0p5rznWlVH

What a terribly misleading tweet. Hurd missing the running lanes led to this... Of course he is going to have to fight for more yards.
