I finally liked what I saw from Berry at LB. He got to plays our other LBs aren't able to.

Still we need to be stronger at the POA. Guys still wrong shouldering blocks and creating lanes.

Our CBS are so passive when it comes to fighting off blocks. None of our guys have the violent hands to rip thru blocks. Kind of disconcerting.

Gaulden is clearly our most physical DB, I think he's special. Like Jason Allen special.

I do the Madison Hatter's voice and got my pic with him the other day. My wife loves Tiana from The Princess and The Frog and got her pic with her too. Oh and our girls got to meet Mackey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Tarzan, Pocahontas, Alice, Rapunzel, Belle, Aurora, and several others. Great time and great memories. My wife is already planning our return trip. I plan on drinking heavily until then to deal with my crowd anxiety. Other than that I had a great time!

The Disney Trick or Treat was pretty cool. Get to the square early if you plan. To watch the parade and 10 o'clock fireworks. We watched the fireworks from near the teacups near the bridge from the teacups to the main square. Very little crowd and pretty good view overall.

Thanks, man! Glad to hear that you and the family had a great time. We are going to the Halloween party and trick-or-treat Thursday night. We plan on taking in all of the different shows, the parade, and fireworks, as well as getting On some of our favorite rides. How was the crowd for the party, especially the lines to ride the rides?

If we can't be happy going 10-2 and winning the East this year, we are going to be one miserable fanbase for the foreseeable future. Even Fulmer, who is our second best coach in history, only managed to win the SEC twice. Once with a senior Peyton Manning and once en route to a national championship.

Honestly, 10-2 with a loss in ATL and a nice bowl win means the program is 100% back and perhaps better than back if you compare it to our history and Fulmer's average W/L record.
People will want Butches head *IF* we go 10-4. (Lose sec champ, bowl game)

That being said.. it's still consistent improvement every year under CBJ and I don't see him losing a bowl game. His bowl prep is something else man.

This team has been decimated by injuries, though. Think that's why everyone is so pissy. Big "what if" season we could end up having

Agree. Looking at our record since 2008, I would take 10 wins (with the 2 loses to top 10 teams, 1 team the #1 in the nation) and making it to the SECCG any day.

2016: 10-2?
2015: 9-4
2014: 7-6
2013: 5-7
2012: 5-7
2011: 5-7
2010: 6-7
2009: 7-6
2008: 5-7

Interesting fact:

At the end of his first 10 years as a CFB head coach, Saban was 82-40.

If the Vols go 11-3 (win out, lose in ATL, win bowl game), Butch will be 81-47.

Of course, Saban won a title in year 9 and had already taken LSU to a BCS bowl 2 years before that. But still...Saban didn't become truly dominant until he got to Bama.

82-40 in his first 10 years and then 107-18 in his next 10 years. Unbelievable.

Fulmer had a dynasty going then. (Florida being the thorn in our side, as Ole Miss is Saban's thorn) Things do go in cycles but the fact they constantly get the best of the best does not make you feel confident it will happen soon.

The crowd was fairly heavy but nothing to bad. All the trick or treat stations moved quickly. The ride lines were also a little shorter because of people trick or treating and getting early spots for the parade. We used our fast passes for a couple things we weren't able to do last time and space mountain of course. We spent all of our time that evening in the Tomorrowland and Fantasyland areas. Didn't get to the other side of the park at all due to our plan.

Let's WRs block them to the sideline. Why I like Sutton and Foreman particularly in the run game. Bama got away with holding them a lot but they've got to get rid of WRs a lot better. IMO

I would rather see our CB's getting a flag or 2 fighting off those WR's and knocking them to the ground than the passive stuff the are currently doing.

I'm all for a personal foul to set the tone in a game like that. SEND THE DAMN MESSAGE

Make them have second thoughts about holding them again the rest of the game. And if they do, knock then on their a$$ again. Other than Cam (Buchanan has potential) our DB's can't get off blocks.

Totally agree

Absolutely.

10-2 = overachieving all things considered. Would be a huge success, lots of hype again

9-3 = what I'm expecting, probably slip one game that we shouldn't because depth

8-4 = can't happen. Would be very disappointing losing to 2 of the worst SEC teams

10-2 isn't overachieving... Winning the SEC would be tho ATP. Remaining schedule is horrible

No way in hell we should lose any of our remaining games on the way to the SEC championship game.

If we did lose, it would be Butch's worst loss to date.

I see all these post saying "simmer down", "who wouldn't be happy with a East Championship", "I can't believe people are wanting Butch's head". I've not seen one post in this thread arguing otherwise. I'm tickled with what Butch has done with our program to date. I think he's made some mistakes with regard to his staff but that will be determined down the road. The question is, can he take it to the next level? Are fans going to be happy with the Vols winning the east and getting beat by Bama year in and year out? Cause that's the way I see it unfolding. I realize these things are hard to predict but that's the way this seems to be trending.

In order to compete with bama you have to recruit at a very high level consistently. You have to consistently bring in top 5 classes at a minimum. There's only one coach that is recruiting at this level imo and that CUM. While Butch has been recruiting pretty good it isn't even close to being on the level of Saban or Meyer.

I don't know man. It really depends on who gets healthy and who stays hurt to me. We are really thin at some areas

Saw that we pay our strength coach 60k a year. Bama pays 600k. It clearly works for them

This really shouldn't be ignored like it is. I think our problem is terrible luck on top of a likely mediocre strength coach. Also, we should probably try to bury teams like Ohio and App St quickly so we can get some of our starters off the field and get younger guys some reps.

Name a coach that can we (or anyone) can hire that can consistently beat Saban and Meyer? They are the top 2 coaches in college football at the moment and no one else is even close.
