I'm fine with everybody on the defensive side of the ball. OC, WR, and Oline would be the only changes I see. I could see debord coaching the Oline and replace Mahoney with a QB coach.

I'd call Shoop and Scott 100% safe being new at least. Stripling is 100% safe. I'd guess Gillespie is 100% as well.

The rest fall somewhere under 100% at varying degrees. Though I'd agree in general that defensive coaches are on the safer side of the ball.

And sometimes you don't know when a coach might get an outside promotion.

I agree. I don't see anyone on the defensive side of the ball in any way on a hot seat. All are sitting cool. On the offensive side I have enjoyed having Gillespie. He has been a good coach and love his enthusiasm on the sideline. For a former Gator I am very glad he is a Vol. Happy with Scott, although I will admit our TE's have taken a huge step back this year in performance. Wolf especially as he has been a non-existent force on the field this year. Croom I was hoping would be more than what he has been so far. Really hoping these two bring it the last half of the regular season. Still holding out hope for Croom. I have enjoyed him on our team for whatever reason.

:p Guess we have used all of our good luck up on those occasions, and the bad luck has increased exponentially because of it. Still beat Georgia and Florida. Win out, and it will be a very good year when we reflect on it and all of the major injuries we had.

Totally agree BRO. At least you have bragging rights in the state of GA and hopefully I will CONTINUE to have them up here in KY.

I know that some of you are going to think that I am crazy, but I would not trade our season with anybody else at this point. We have had two games this year that I have felt indescribably good after they were over. We boat-raced our biggest rival in the second half and got a HUGE monkey off our backs and broke Georgia's heart with a perfectly executed Hail Mary in their house. I cannot recall feeling any better after wins like these. I despise all of the injuries, but I love this team. GBO!!

Here is my view of CRB in basketball: this is his last stop. He will get us to being good, but not elite. Then he throws in the towel after a few more seasons. The dude is 62 years old. Gotta be thinking about that golf game soon like the OBC.

I'm right there with you. Other than the minor bump in the road last weekend this has been the most fun I've had since 2007 (and maybe earlier). Been a fun ride!

He signed 6 years. I expect him to coach all 6.

Yeah if it wasn't for all the injuries there would be less doom and gloom. I'd bet there will be more sunshine after South Carolina game. We should get a lot of guys back except for Sutton and Kamara. Possibly hall as I'm not sure what's wrong with him. It looked like his knee gave way when Williams blew him up on that sack.

Bye week is huge. Team should be recharged. They put a ton of energy into those 7 games against sine tough teams. An extra week to work some schemes in l. Hard to do that on 3 days during game week

Didn't see a thread on this kid, Marquise Brown.

“Coach (Zach Azzanni) called me (Monday) and he said he just watched my film earlier (Monday) and knew right away that he wanted to offer me and that's what he did,” Brown told Volquest.com.

Growing up you always know about Tennessee so I grew up watching them and all the SEC teams and the tradition those guys have over there,” Brown said.

“No doubt,” Brown said when asked if Tennessee is a place he’d like to see. “They’re one of the premier programs in the SEC. They have great tradition.

“The environment and fans there are great. But I have five official visits so when my season is over I’m going to focus more on my visits.”

I think i saw where Butch said all of our O line would be back for the SC game... Kirkland should be back too, along with Cortez, Foreman, etc... we will still be a little banged up, but with our O line being back, we should be able to put more than enough points up on the board to win.

As much as everyone loves to call Wolf an NFL player, his performances have not earned extra offensive involvement, IMO.

His potential is stagnating

I wonder just how much of that has to do with this offense and its (perceived?) misuse or outright disregard for the TE position.

I don't think anyone will argue that Wolf looked like a player his Freshman year, showing flashes of enormous potential, but he's hardly made strides, if not regressed since then.

I think there comes a point when it's on the player, not the coaches. Wolf has had the ball hit him right in the hands and dropped multiple times this season. Dobbs needs a little more touch on the ball but, still, no excuse.

Report: South Carolina seriously considering starting freshman QB Jake Bentley

I can't believe Muschamp is going to burn this kids redshirt for 6 games. Bentley is supposed to be a SR in HS and will be playing us in less than two weeks.

South Carolina is one of three teams that have yet to score 100 total points this season. They only have 9 tds in 6 games.
Major blunder on his part. Bentley is supposed to be good and muschamp decides to burn his red shirt with almost zero chance to make a bowl game. Just so stupid. About as dumb as rehiring Kurt roper

Muschamp is so stupid. Roper is the problem not McIlwain. I hope McIllwain transfers and tears it up somewhere. Roper is awful. Look at Driskel as soon as he gets away from Roper he tears it up at LA Tech and gets drafted

Didn't know about the 6, but that would allow him to get us to good status and then stay there for another few more years.

I don't pay anywhere near as much attention to basketball as I do football, though.

I believe Barnes has stated that he was willing to develop a program and his players at UT. He doesn't mind taking guys who might need a couple of years to develop. He got burned a few times at Texas with guys who thought they were one and done players but really weren't. I thought it was a good hire. We will see how these guys develop. We need some beef, but we actually have a true PG for the first time since Pearl left, and we have 2 of them.
