Just saw a tweet that Eric Josephs has been hired as our Director of Recruiting...did we lose one of our Bobs?

I wouldn't burn any mattresses or kick any lightbulb buckets if we ended up finishing around #9 in the polls. But a playoff appearance does seem quite feasible for this team given the schedule and landscape of the SEC this season.

a #9 finish probably equals winning the east, losing the championship game and winning a NY6 bowl. I would 100% take that.

Can any of you normal people imagine what it must have been like for Bruin's first grade teacher?

By Xmas break she was probably on suicide watch!

IDK why you let the trolls get to y'all like that, your giving them exactly what they want...Fact is neither team has done much of anything, unfortunately for Georgia they have had the players to do it while UT has been rebuilding. As far as this player goes it's a big one for us with our thin OL

I laughed. What kind of person wants other people to call them morons? Hey, they don't have to go to these extremes for that. Just tailgate me or vote for (deleted) and I will be happy to call them morons.

From my point of view after reading all of this...it looks like Bruin was initially simply pointing out how the phone call could be hypothetically interpreted or used in the lawsuit, and NOT declaring that it was fact.

Some of ya'll (Butchna) need to chill out. You go 0-100 real fast.

The reason most go from 0-100 is because he typically is posting the same information repeatedly over and over and takes over a thread in a short amount of time. Just very annoying. That is why I blocked him. Really helps with my sanity.

I'm chill. :). And if you ever find yourself typing "Bruin was simply", you need to step back, reevaluate and come back to the sane crew. :huggy:

Need that answer too. I think we're doing the Bama thing and just hiring another recruiting connection...primarily south Florida. Maybe he and LS are tight.

It hurts to say this, but Bruin has a single valid point in all of this. Simply stated, IF the police informed Butch Jones of a suspected rape perpetrated by his players before searching the suspect's residence, that is wrong. I do not believe it is illegal or actionable in any way, but it is just poor investigating. If we assume that rape is a serious crime and further assume that we expect police to investigate, identify and apprehend rapists, tipping off a friend, family member, or close associate (e.g. coach) of the suspect does not fall within sound investigative protocol. If a player or players were flipping cars, partying too hard, or just causing general college/frat kid mayhem around the town, I would expect a call to the coach to say something to the effect of "we have a problem and you need to fix it before we have to." However, this is a rape investigation, not college kid Tom Foolery. All adult suspects (and these are adult suspects) of major felony offenses should be treated the same and all rapists should burn regardless of their athletic ability, business acumen or wealth. I have a problem with anything that compromises a valid investigation because that leads to wrongful acquittals and, worse, wrongful convictions (See Making a Murderer).

Now, this part is important. I do not believe that Butch Jones did anything wrong with what information he was provided, if any. The fact that potentially incriminating evidence was located in the apartment leads inexorably to the conclusion that Butch did not direct anyone to destroy evidence. As thorough as Butch is, I have to assume that if he decided to obstruct justice, he would have made sure it was done right. I also do not believe that this situation has any bearing on the Title IX lawsuit. If anything it is a blunder on the KPD's part. And don't give me any crap about the FSU-Tallahassee Police "parallel." The fact that the two (2) players in question, one of whom was a key/star player, have been charged and are awaiting trial shows that the UT-KPD relationship is nowhere near as cozy as what we have seen down in Tallahassee.

As a shout out to one of my favorite posters on this board, I shall now place a random emoticon to mark the end of this rant. :hi:

Very well stated

Yes and to clarify again there isn't once ounce of me that thinks jones has done anything wrong here

You guys get frustrated with how many times I post something. Well the deal is every time my post are twisted into something I haven't said I am going to respond.

Hopefully this clears up what I was saying all along.
