UT hasn't been picked to win the East since 2005. We have only been picked higher than 4th once since 2010 & that was last year when we predicted to finish 2nd. Maybe Jalen will actually get to play in this game, instead of watching from the sidelines. I hope Preston destroys him!! The streak HAS TO END!!!

For those saying he doesn't run over people, neither did Barry Sanders. It looks to me like he does it when needed but doesn't seek it out. I have no problem with that.

Dude is a Fournette hater. This class of RBs is the best in years. Fournette may not be the best back in the country. Dalvin Cook is my No.1 RB. 😁

I agree on this class being loaded. When there is legit argument that Hurd could be in the 5-10 range in rb rankings, that is a ridiculous class. Most other years he would have to be top 3. IF he gets the top end speed improved, then watch out for that dude this year. Don't get me wrong Jalen is a great player, but his top end speed is lacking a little JMO.

But I'm not as football knowledgeable as others on this board. I have a job and don't get to watch hours and hours of football each day perfecting my eye for future NFL players. wink wink

I get text messages from volnation on signing day and almost every day .. Got one today that reads vols have special announcement Saturday ? Any ideas?

Have to take the over-- 9.5 puts team goals in jeopardy.

Can't lose to VT with the whole world watching. Gotta win The Battle of Bristol for the history books.

Can't lose to our East rivals. Gotta break that UF streak and beat the Dawgs to get to ATL.

Going 10-2 probably means a L to both SECw teams. Losing to aTm would suck, but it's a tough road game in the middle of a brutal 4-game SEC stretch. The Vols could lose to the SECw teams and still sweep the SECe to get to ATL.

Going 11-1 probably means a L to Bama, but we could get another shot at 'em in the SECCG. They'd have a hard time beating this team twice.

So 10-2 or 11-1 are the most likely scenarios, IMO. We'll probably need 11-1 to be a playoff team, so I'm rolling with that.

I have a job as well. I just personally like Cook more as my style of RB than Fournette. No problem in having a preference.....

Personally if the draft was today, for me:
Cook
LF
Hurd
Perine
Chubb(obviously would be higher if not coming off a serious injury)

We have a new series for our 2018 and 2019 seasons with Ohio State.

2018 is in Knoxville. 2019 in Columbus, OH.

Edit: Is this true? I know that a few years ago they canceled a series with us for the same years if I remember correctly.

It's not true. I had posted the same above and did more research.

UT will not play against Ohio State football in 2018

He had to have meant UGA was picked the last three years, which I believe they actually were. Three years ago one si.com columnist had us going 3-9.
