Would beating Arkansas have made any difference last year? We still go to Tampa and finish 2nd in the East at 9-3, right?

It's kinda like Mizzou in 2014. Had we won that game, we still likely go to Jax.

A big difference between 9 and 10 win expectations last year was that some people expected to lose to UF. Many of these same people will expect to lose to UF again this year and go 10-2 instead of 11-1.

I would venture most of us expected to beat Florida last year

You were one of the dumbasses that bought into the media overhype of this team going into last year weren't you? 8 or 9 wins was the goal last year. 10 or 11 is the goal this year. Shut up with that garbage if we don't make the national championship it's a failure. It's not. This was always suppose to be the year that we were suppose to contend for an SEC championship...not last year.

I really can't stand the "holier than you" attitude you have. Like your words are the gospel and we are suppose to bow in your presence. You're just another armchair dumbass.

You've gotta understand though that D4H is the best talent scout in America. And he's deduced we have 30 future first round picks and 40 future pro-bowlers in our three deep(among them, a future heisman winner, the best unicorn RB in a generation, and a freshman so good he'll make everybody forget Deion Sanders). So anything less than a handily won National Championship and an undefeated record is complete and utter failure.

Unfortunately, officials do not call offensive holding unless a takedown is witnessed. This is contrary to the rules of the game, but it is reality. The emphasis in the last 40 years has been to allow whatever yields the most offense. This is why so many high scoring games.

Kinda funny you say that when Barnett got tackled a lot last year.

Then please explain why they moved their #1 corner from last year to receiver this year?

Lol you're some kind of dumbass. I said they have lost a lot but do have talent returning. They lost a ton at wr so they moved Adams.

They still have a potential 1st round pick at LT and DT, plus Jaleel Wadood and Randall Goforth in the secondary. Deon Hollins is a stud. Ishmael Adams, wherever he plays, is going to be explosive.

The most annoying thing is your response makes absolutely no sense in a discussion.

It's like this:

Me: "Most ways to prepare potatoes are delicious but some are gross."

You: "Then explain why au gratin is disgusting."

Me: "I just said some are gross" *then smashes head against wall for 36 hours because the stupidity is overwhelming*

Wait. What is wrong with au gratin?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that would make us East champs. Maybe we needed to win the tie breaker game against Florida instead. I don't have the results in front of me

UF went 7-1 in the SEC though. We would have been 6-2 with a win over Arkansas.

This whole idea of "we have the talent to potentially win a NC so anything less is a failure" is such a dumb mindset. That is your goal. 1 team reaches that goal. And they do that with a lot of good fortune along the way. There are other teams with a similar level of talent as us. And dare I say there might even be some teams with more talent than us top to bottom 😲. Whichever the case, we don't have WAY more talent. The only way to have that mindset is if there is an overwhelming talent gap and the coaches would have to blow it to not get a NC. That's not the case. Our players can play well. Our coaches can coach well. And we could not win the NC. That would not be a failure.

I think I'm most excited about the aTm game this year. I really hope our OL doesn't make Garrett look better than Barnett, but it's the National stage DB needs to prove he's the better DE.

All this talent does is get us in the conversation. It's been a long time since people were mentioning us in the top 10. We still have to go out there and bust heads.

On paper, everything looks amazing. But that doesn't mean anything. We still have to actually beat all these teams and survive the grind of the SEC.

I believe in this team though and I'm excited to see how far they can go. We're gonna need a good bit of magic if we want to win it all.

I would say we're due for some magic around here though.

Grizz just firing good coaches. I guess that's what we do. 😑

Your post was the first time I saw this. I knew he had only one guaranteed year left. I can't believe it. DJ is a damn good coach, and the NBA knows it. What is going on in this league when good coaches get fired?

I wonder what Gasol and Conley think or if they had input in the decision.
