On paper, everything looks amazing. But that doesn't mean anything. We still have to actually beat all these teams and survive the grind of the SEC.

I believe in this team though and I'm excited to see how far they can go. We're gonna need a good bit of magic if we want to win it all.

This magic thing is right on target. No matter how good you are, you will have a couple of games where it just doesn't go your way. You have to fight thru it and get some kind of crazy luck play to win the game. Then, when playing in games that are tough like the Bama games and championship games, you have to play very well then catch some breaks. It is hard to win it all. That is mainly because only one team actually gets to do it each year.

After all the crap we have seen for the last several years, for the bandwagon fans like D4H and those who have been wearing Bama gear for the last few years to talk about CBJ being fired if we don't win it all, just show they are fans with no true knowledge of college football. Real UT fans know that it will be sweet to compete for it all and be a top 10 team. If somehow, we become the National Champion, it will be sweet. But after all the five and six win seasons and teams and coaches over the years giving up, to be a top SEC team and having a shot to win it all just shows that CBJ has done a great job.

I am so excited to know each Saturday when we step on the field, I will feel like we will win instead of just hoping that we do. It has not been like that since the 90's and early 2000's. Enjoy it and ignore the trolls like D4H. True fans know that what Butch has done is tremendous and now is the time to put UT in it's rightful place of competing for SEC championships every year which should be the goal. Then, if we win a Natty that will be just more icing on the cake.

I don't have a child. I'm not going to watch children randomly playing hockey. Lol

With the addition of the CFB no team should ever have the expectation of winning the championship, and anything else is a failure.

At our peak I think reasonable expectations in a 10-year period are:
5-6 SEC championship appearances with 2-3 wins and 1 championship. Anything else would be gravy, and if Butch ends up being a guy that can take us to those heights then even firing him would be an idiotic decision.

Expectations for me are to beat Florida and win the East. The SEC Championship game is essentially round 1 of the playoffs.

Once we make it there anything can happen.

There aren't many things I've wanted more in life than to beat the Gators this year...and the "want" only grows every time we lose to them.

Who's saying Butch should be fired if the Vols don't win the NC this year? But it isn't unrealistic at all to expect to sweep the East, get to the SECCG and, if the team stays healthy and is as good as we think it is, win the SEC. Lose to UF or UGA, and the whole season could go south a month in.

That shooting happened right by my exit off of the interstate- which is crazy because it's not like I live in a bad area of town.

same. Hate to see young men lose their lives like that. Have they released anything saying why it happened? Another young black man was shot by the police here last year, went to a good friends church and was the drummer in the praise band- an absolute tragedy.
