Let's be honest....that pass to Smith in the Uga game was horrible....lucky Josh Smith has good hands.
So what he is saying doesn't differ from what you call posters on here "racist" and "idiot" for. He is saying Dobbs needs to be more consistent.
Some question whether he can do it. Some whether he will.
BS. Most here have questioned whether Dobbs has the arm strength or skills to be a NFL QB. Hell they wanted a true freshmen to replace him in college.
I'm the one who said Josh is an elite talent. I'm the one who used the word CONSISTENCY with him. While others said he's just inaccurate, I said no. He's very accurate. It's just that he isn't always consistent. That he lets his footwork get sloppy. Especially on the short throws.
So please stop with this revisionist history.
I was alone on this months. But now yall are changing your tunes as actual NFL experts are beginning to line up with me that Dobbs is a legit NFL prospect with a high ceiling.
Going in the 1st round is a definite possibility for Dobbs.

FWIW, Dobbs has his chance every game he has played to prove he can be a QB in the NFL. He has everything he needs to be one. Whether he succeeds or not will be determined by his footwork when passing the ball IMO. It has not been NFL quality to this point. He is off the charts with the rest. I believe he has the ability to correct that. With most of the NFL teams the short passing game is critical to their systems. Dobbs has issues throwing toward the sidelines on short to intermediate routes in particular. His long ball touch can be developed, I see no issues with that. He is strong with throws over the middle of the field on short to intermediate routes. Which is why some of us have been screaming to use the future TE more over the middle of the field and to call the post routes to the WR's when the D is in two deep coverage. The success rate for those passes have been excellent.
Posters who state that it is up to Butch to take the handcuffs or training wheels off are 100% correct. The experienced talent on this team indicates it is well past time to open up. The D will make up for most of the extra mistakes. Time to go for it. An extra half dozen picks will not spell doom to the season because there will be twice as many successful plays to compensate along with the D having the big eraser.
Used to have a place in South Beach HHI. Miss it
If the coaches truly took the leash off of Dobbs, he could be a 3,000 yards/25 TD QB easily. But that would come at a price, because his number of INTs would go up.
Look at his INTs last season. He threw only 5, one of which was a fluke tipped pass and one was a desperation throw in OT against OU.
If Butch's risk tolerance allowed Dobbs to throw 10+ INTs over the course of a season, he would look much different throwing the ball. I think Butch and DeBord know that Dobbs has the talent to make all the throws, but he can be slightly off at times, and the run game is so strong that they don't need him to sling it around to win. That's why his completion percentage went down last season. He never got into a rhythm as easily as he did in 2014 where he won games essentially by himself (South Carolina, Vandy).
