SIAP But Jones recently confirmed that Joe Young's career as a player seems to be over.
Sad news. Good luck, young man.

Saban did kick off those 4 Bama players that were involved in the robberies a few years ago. I fully expect Hootie Jones to be back but are there any specific examples of Saban ignoring something as close to as serious as this?

The truth is somewhere in between his comment and yours. I don't think anyone can truly state that Hubbs has full autonomy in what and how he reports but I think his opine concerning how much of an impact has had on recruiting is closer to the truth than Larry's. I simply do not buy that 16-18 year old football recruits keep up with it, much less actually allow it to be a factor in where they play football for the next 3-5 years.
Wins, staff, depth at their respective positions, overall talent on the team, facilities, national exposure, ability to translate to the NFL...these are all more important to the lion's share of recruits. It's a factor for some but not many, I'd wager.
Like many states, Louisiana has pretrial diversion for first offenders. If Robinson is eligible, and it appears he is, he can enter a plea under the appropriate article of the Louisiana Criminal Code, and if he fulfills the conditions required, he will avoid criminal conviction.
The question is, if there is no felony charge or conviction, will Saban dismiss a Top 10 draft prospect at a position of critical need?
They allow diversion for a felony?
A weapons charge?
Would not have expected Louisiana to be that lax...
Tennessee allows for diversion for some felonies. I have done it for my clients many times. However, most, if not all, of the felony gun charges do not allow for diversion. In Tennessee, as long as you aren't a convicted felon, a simple carrying of a firearm without a permit is a misdemeanor.
What about carrying the firearm and weed? Is the combo what makes it a felony?
