If we win only 10 games with this level of talent and this schedule, there will be a lot of very disappointed and very pissed off Vol fans.

Ole Miss emerges unscathed from the Tunsil scandal.

Robinson's charges get reduced/dropped.

Meanwhile, A.J. Johnson, Michael Williams, Von Pearson, and Alexis Johnson sat/are sitting in limbo waiting to find out their futures while Tennessee and Butch Jones are in the middle of an in-state newspaper smear campaign orchestrated by former employees of the university.

Business as usual.

Yep and now Baylor being investigated but they too, will be cleared and everything swept under the rug...

The four game (FL, GA, Tamu, Bama) Back to back to back to back schedule is what will get us. We win 2 and lose 2 imo

That's just the reality of playing in the SEC. Championship teams deal with it. Dropping winnable games to 2 out of 3 rivals would not go over well-- and dropping a game to either UF or UGA could cost us the East.

That would be the 1st time we've won 10 games in how many years? I understand disappointed...pissed off probably not. I'd be pissed off with 6 wins

Beat Florida and 3-1 is likely and 4-0 is possible.

Lose to Florida and 1-3 is likely and 0-4 is possible.

UF will be a two-game swing IMO. Regardless, we're beating A&M...but a UF win means the momentum either carries over to UGA or the team believes it can beat anyone and topples Bama.

I actually agree with you. Florida is EVERYTHING.

Beat them and I think we're 6-0 heading into the Third Saturday in October.

Beat Florida and we go 11-1 at worst.

I don't think Georgia and A&M can beat us.

That stretch is brutal. UGA and TAMU scare me the most. Not because I don't think we are better than them but those teams still have tons of talent and we are the hunted this year...so you know those fans are gonna loud and rabid. Then to top it off we get to come back home and play Bama. Lol....thanks SEC. I'm glad our OOC schedule sucks this year.

What we've won-- or not won-- in the past is irrelevant. What matters is the talent, the experience, the depth and the schedule we have this year. Butch and Shoop set expectations at 11 games and the SECE championship. They have what it takes to get there. Time to deliver.

That four game stretch is tough, but on balance I think we have the easiest schedule we've had in a decade this year. And of those four, only Bama is considered at the moment to be a national title contender. The other three are considered solid, Top 25ish teams with some quality talent in places.

I much prefer the set up of this schedule to what we've had in the recent past with 4 or 5 ranked, national title contending SEC teams and a national title contender (e.g., Oklahoma; Oregon) as an out of conference opponent.

I think 10 regular season wins is our floor. I will be very surprised by anything less than that. 12-0 is our ceiling, and (while I don't expect it) it wouldn't necessarily surprise me.

I don't think that that story is going to go away. Police covering up crimes and deleting information from their database? That's serious stuff and a lot of people are going to lose their jobs. We will see what happens to briles. If he is found to be involved in it he will lose his job.

Yeah, I think the schedule sets up nicely. I would prefer a bye week in there somewhere, but then again, the team can really start rolling with a win over UF and play lights out for 3 more consecutive weeks.

Then the bye week comes and they can rest and avoid getting beat by a bad team down the stretch.

USC, Mizzou, UK, and Vandy are all bad teams, but they are capable of beating the Vols on an off day. The bye week coming before that stretch is important IMO.

Hype is almost out of control. I like it though.

He's right.

I think both teams go 12-0 and meet in Atlanta undefeated.

It would be the biggest championship game since 2009 when Alabama and Florida met up.

If that scenario happens, the loser might go to the playoffs as well, if the championship game is very close.

Our luck we would play Bama three times in 2016.

Regular season with both teams top 5, Bama wins. Both teams win out.

Rematch in SECCG, UT wins.

UT 12-1, Bama 12-1, both teams in top 4 or even #1/#2.

SOS for both teams is top notch because the only losses are to each other. Both make playoffs and match up as either #1/#4 game or in the finals.

I agree an extra bye week in there would be nice, but we have the depth now to handle it. No excuses.

Amazing the difference three years (and Butch Jones) makes...

Someone on VN would find a reason to complain about that scenario. No....seriously....someone would.
