GA is going to 7 classes this year so it is changing up all the regions. I looked at Waynes and the are now going to be AAAAA and in the same region as Ware County which is always a really good team. They have a great non region schedule playing Valdosta and Brunswick. Wayne was down last year, but played in the semi finals just three years ago in the old AAAA.
It Is close to the coast and only about 50 miles to St Simons and kind of half way between Savannah and Jacksonville.
Bama plays on CBS 4-5 times every year.
They got 6 CBS/Verne and Gary games in 2014 and 7 (!) in 2015, including 4 in a row. It's not unheard of. The only game I'm sure of is A&M vs UT. We need them to be good, as that week has the biggest competition in LSU vs UF and Bama vs Arkansas.
Thx for the info. It appears this coach has turned down the offer and will remain in Paducah.
Could certainly happen depending on our season.
UF vs UT is a given. Next best game that day is Ole Miss vs UGA, but UF vs UT is a much stronger matchup as both teams are extremely likely to be undefeated, whereas UGA and Ole Miss could both already have a loss.
UT vs UGA is a given as well, even if we lose to UF. VERY weak SEC slate that day. Next best game is LSU vs Missouri or A&M vs South Carolina. So two in a row for sure.
vs A&M is a tougher call because LSU vs Florida is the same day, as is Alabama vs Arkansas. If we beat UF, we get the CBS 3:30 game. If we lose to UF, LSU vs Florida gets it. Wildcard would be Arkansas having a hot start to the season and their matchup with Bama having a lot of intrigue and A&M being utterly terrible.
And TSIO's only competition is Ole Miss vs Arkansas.
So we will get 5 OTA broadcast games this year: week 2, week 4, week 5, week 6, and week 7.
There is no chance we are on CBS 4 weeks in a row, they have to rotate the teams some.
I see one of the two LSU games when we play @UGA or @A&M (most likely this one) to get CBS and us be the primetime night ESPN game.
I could see 3.
This is amazing in that today is Wednesday. Wow
