Don't pretend like you are on the same level as Mel kiper or mcshay. They are paid to watch film all year. They may not always be right but they can't predict things like injuries, bad attitudes, etc.

Reuben has been a huge contributer to Alabama for 2-3 years. He's a protypical linebacker. Mel Kiper said hes a better NFL prospect than Reggie Ragland. Kirkland was a TRUE freshman, Ragland a JR. And you expect me to think a Kirkland is a better overall linebacker at this point of time? No way... Im sorry that I'm not as bias as some people on here

So is Kirkland. He's not hands down better than him at all.

Foster also played next to Ragland and didn't look his equal. Kirkland started to look every bit of JRM equal(if not better at times)by the end of the year. I wouldn't trade Kirkland for Foster at all.

He's only been a starter for 1 year. Before then he was a STs ace....

Huge contributor? Kirkland had more tackles and better stats in his freshman year than Foster had combined in his first two years. He was non existent in his first 2 years.

I don't get the love for Foster. He still looks lost a lot in pass coverage. He's not even the best LB in his division(LSU Beckwith IMO). Can he run a defense is my question? He wasn't the main man and versus us they had to take him off Dobbs in the read option game. He's too undisciplined at times. Kirkland already can direct a defense and makes plays all over the field. I'm not trading #34 for anyone in the country. And I would bet Raekwon McMillan goes ahead of Foster next year too. Kid is much more complete than Foster as a LB.

Kiper sucks and hasn't ever played a down of football on any level(little league included). His hair and ability to sound like he knows what he's talking about keeps him around.

Idk that he can run a defense but the boy can play football no doubt. Saying otherwise is just ridiculous.

Kirkland is more cerebral. And he's a got a big body that can move. Great combo.

That's what I've been saying. If Kirkland doesn't get derailed by injury, he is goin supernova this season. If there was stock in his career available, I would sink everything I have into it.

This. He can do it all and barring injury will be an AA before he leaves IMO. Would not trade him for any LB in CFB.

This. It took Foster 2 years on special teams to do what Kirkland did as a freshman.

This. It took Foster 2 years on special teams to do what Kirkland did as a freshman.
