There's simply no way this year's Florida team is remotely as bad as 2013's (which couldn't beat Georgia Southern but still beat us by two touchdowns). They're going to be pretty good, and we've lost to far worse Florida teams (2011, 2013, 2014).

2013 Florida was actually pretty talented. They just came off a 11 win season.

Only reason they struggled is because they were devastated by injuries. I believe they lost 6 offensive starters to season ending injuries and several defensive starters to season ending injuries as well.

I was numb and silent while walking out after the 2012 game, then spent the entire 3-hour drive home telling my disinterested girlfriend all the reasons why Dooley was finished as head coach at Tennessee.

Oh no, I'm talking about the first "checker Neyland". My wife And I walked out next to a group of jubilant gators. I couldn't take it any more, told them all to f*** off. Fortunately, there was a Pretty large group of vol fans behind me, who had my back. I wrote a check one guy can't cash...

We are going to get him. Probably won't see it. Will happen in a pile. Players go to their respective huddles. He will still be laying on the ground. I am all about justice and fairness and playing within the rules and the right way. But, when you do what he did, you deserve noting less but to be held up and someone cracks down. If I was on the field, I would get a sick thrill hearing that leg snap for him. Yep, playing football means you are a little crazy.

You need to take this a little less seriously.

Bold prediction: Vols will have the top-rated pass defense in the nation this year.

Mediocre slate of opposing QBs + elite pass rush + elite secondary depth = fewer than 160 yards passing allowed per game.

Combine that with a stout run defense and we'll easily place in the top 10 for total defense.

You got me thinking about how many team interceptions we could have. The pass rush will dominate. The coverage is top-notch. Our offense should score enough to force other teams to pass.

I couldn't find a stat for Tennessee single season team interceptions. I would like to know that number to see if we would have a legitimate shot of breaking the record. Maybe it's not a stat that is kept. . .

When I played, it was serious. Ask Shy if he takes it seriously. Think about that. I am sure he is just all good with it. Could've and hope it has not cost him a lot of money. Know it has caused him a lot of pain.

It's still serious. Shy certainly takes it seriously. But the answer isn't 'do the same thing! as bad or worse!'

It simply isn't.

You tell 'em Al Bundy! How's Polk High looking this year?

If you were in fact Shy Tuttle, then I could see that sort of thinkin. But, assuming you're not Shy, the apparent glee you took in describing someone's leg breaking, someone you and all your serious football have never played against, is rather disturbing.
