Read what NFL players have said about guys getting hurt. And no, I am not a former NFL player. They hate to see guys get hurt and anyone does because it is how they provide for their families. But, when a guy is a dirty player who does try to hurt guys in a dirty way that affects their livelihoods, they will make them pay. It's been that way for years. Paybacks are heck and that pain train has started down the tracks. You can agree to disagree. I did say on the field, I was a little bit of crazy. I am not Shy and neither or you but if you don't think revenge is in play.

He even tugged at his jersey to crack it. He has a rep for it back all the way to high school. He is a piece of crap and he deserves whatever happens.

Won't be a reason to storm the field bc it will be an anti climatic double digit win for the Vols

In honor of Jay's triumphant return

Also I'm watching the Northwestern game and Malik Foreman is so sick the first quarter. Making play after play. This game is fun. The Wildcats are an adorable little opponent.

Was thinking about NW just a little while ago. We thrashed them so badly that not only did we most likely completely demoralize them, but they aren't even in the Top 25 to start the year after having finished the season #12/13 in the country. Now that's an ass whoopin'.

You got me thinking about how many team interceptions we could have. The pass rush will dominate. The coverage is top-notch. Our offense should score enough to force other teams to pass.

I couldn't find a stat for Tennessee single season team interceptions. I would like to know that number to see if we would have a legitimate shot of breaking the record. Maybe it's not a stat that is kept. . .

The record for one season is 36. That is still an SEC record and I think it is still a NCAA national record. Tenn had a bevy of great linebackers and def backs that year. Their coach had his own system, and left football coaching for the private sector after the season. Tim Priest was on that team and played a part in the record. You will still hear him speak of it occasionally. Other notables on the team, Jackie Walker, Conrad Graham and Steve Kiner. I was 11 and helped my dad refinish our basement that fall. We listened to the games on the radio as we worked. I doubt if we had the money for tickets that season. Games were not on TV as often as now. Fond memories.

Oh yeah, the year was 1970.

I think the coach left after '71. We set two more SEC records as a team that year. Number of interceptions returned for a touchdown ( 7 ). And also for Interception return yardage ( 782 yds. ). We had 25 interceptions in 1971.

That gives us 3 SEC records to shoot for.

No doubt. Our defense was filthy and dominant all game long. We made them look bad. Our running game just slowly wore them down too. Hurd and Kamara just kept coming.

Defenses better have depth against us. If those two are healthy with this offensive line, we are gonna be able to wear teams out. Both of them are always fresh and explosive, all game long.

We need to enjoy this combo while it lasts.

Got a 3rd Back in Kelly 😎

I wonder how many snaps he realistically gets in a normal game that's close throughout. Maybe 1 series? I still think if they're healthy, you've got either Kamara or Hurd on the field most of the game.

If Kelly carves out a regular role, then he is going to have to be playing lights out. I hope he's that good. That's a great problem to have.

You tell 'em Al Bundy! How's Polk High looking this year?

If you were in fact Shy Tuttle, then I could see that sort of thinkin. But, assuming you're not Shy, the apparent glee you took in describing someone's leg breaking, someone you and all your serious football have never played against, is rather disturbing.

I'll say a prayer to counteract the power of a fan wishing a broken leg on a goon. You bring the live chicken. Drink lots of ice water and huddle fetally until this horror passes. :good!:

I once wished death on a fellow poster...he didn't die.

Yes, we are really talented! I pretty sure I remember someone back in 05 that the OL was overweight some and that team bought into the hype and didn't have the work ethic needed!

One thing we can say about this team is they work and have their heads on straight. Florida goes down this year!!

You can say that again!

If TK doesn't have a case of the tripsies he could probably give Berry's individual return yards a run.
