Kongbo has not taken a single down in Div 1 in the SEC yet.... he will be a great backup and nice change of pace for Offenses to have to adjust for... This season he will definitely be fun to watch when he gets some snaps...NEXT season he will be BEAST!

I honestly think he's one and done. He reminds me physically of Jason Pierre-Paul.

Like Kongbo, JPP was a 20 year old junior college transfer when he arrived at South Florida in 2009. He started 7 games that year got 6.5 sacks. NFL teams were infuatuated with his size and athleticism so he got drafted #15 overall.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Kongbo have a similar season. Start midway through the season. Get 6-7 sacks and make enough wow plays to intrigue scouts.

I think he gets drafted before Barnett.

I'm getting a little worried up in here, people. Shouldn't we be worrying about how bad our recruiting class is instead of the silly upcoming football season?

It's like y'all don't have your priorities straight anymore.

I have no doubt that the attention will be on the field during game time. Otherwise, recruiting is always going on.

NFL does get hot and bothered over a pass rush.

It's all about the "want to" so it's really on Justin.

I thought he would never make it during his junior season. Mirror image of Josh Malone... Worlds of talent, but effort and drops got into his game. He was never the same after that ACL tore.

Still not too late for Josh

never said that, just trying to be realistic... K-mack came in and everyone was crowning him the next minister of defense and it took him most of the season to get adjusted . Kongbo definitely passes the eye test and seems to be doing very well in practice, but he has not faced SEC O lines... Hopefully by mid-season he will learn enough and be a much needed change of pace... Barnett and Vereen are not just going to step aside and lose their starting spot just because of hype... he will have to earn it.

So you're saying the Tennessee OL isn't an SEC OL?

Please clarify... :hi:

Not gonna happen, but a 6 win season by Clemson would have me giggling like a school girl. I would love nothing more than to see them plummet when they are poised to contend

This is the long and frustrating stretch of the year. Football is teasing us every day but the clock doesn't start for few weeks. We get the same practice reports from the same people and the countdown slooooowwwsss dooooooooowwwwwwwnn.

FTR, and don't want to see it happen, but I could see them fall to an 8 win season of something happened to Watson early. He's the centerpiece of their offense and their defense is set to take a step back. Not being able to rely on Watson to get and/or maintain a lead could exacerbate any problems their defense might have.

Doug Matthews said Tuttle will likely be back by the Ohio game.

Jones always tries to keep people guessing. I was surprised to hear Shoop say he expected Tuttle to be ready.

"And then I break into my happy dance"

If I were Glitch, there would have been a cool gif above.

Flipping through and caught on the sports Source where they're comparing the 98 team versus this team.

They brought up that all 4 of our backs from the 98 became a starting tailback in the NFL at some point.
That's an impressive stat.

Vincent Perry is a kid that would've helped this year. Don't know how he became ineligible with as much help Student Athletes receive.

No doubt. I can't understand being ineligible either. Had he been part of this team I think we would have seen Bryd challenging this year for the second CB opposite Sutton. Kid is a stud he and warrior look like future pros on defense

Or just maybe Jennings would be playing safety this yr. I'm with a lot of posters on his abilities. He doesn't seem like offense is what is his calling card. Routes aren't crisp and he just looks out of place. But Butch gets paid WAY more than me 😂😂😂
