Do you think the staff is saving some major stuff for Florida?

They have a lot of new pieces to work with that weren't there in 2015. And they probably won't need all of those pieces through the first 3 weeks.

I think it depends how the game goes. Florida's defense is still probably best in the SEC.

I do think we may line up in some more Iformation stuff and Kamara's role in this offense is going to be huge this year. A lot of people forget, but we didn't really figure out to use Kamara til the Georgia game.

There is no way in hell flahrduhs defense is better than ours this year. Unless the injury jinx takes us out.

Can't wait until he gets to the second level of the defense and the only guy in his way is "Teez" Tabor.

Before I go to bed every night, I pray to a god I don't even think is listening that the only thing standing between Hurd and the game winning TD is Jalen Tabor.

Cam Sutton, Evan Berry and Derek Barnett have been named CBS preseason All-Americans, per UT release. Sutton and Berry 1st team, Barnett 2nd

Bout time these three got some attention. Strong RB year, so Hurd is gonna have to do work to make all American. Add in JRM and Trevor Daniel and you have a party.

From what I saw, no, he would not be a typical DT. Not even a Malik Jackson type at this point because he is tall with long limbs, muscular and lean. Malik was a bit shorter with a frame that could handle more weight. Over time Kongbo could add some pounds to do that of course. I would expect him to be on the inside on passing down situations where he could loop and do Clowney type stuff. He could stay in there for a few downs at DT, but after awhile the O-line would get to him. JMO FWIW.

They appear to just want to find him playing time. Some inside work will do him good. But I would rather see him outside next season after Barnett and Vereen are gone.

I thought Jackson's and Kongbo's sizes were almost identical??? Why not a good comparison?

It is a good comparison. Malik was about 6'5 275lbs here and Kongbo is 6'6 280lbs. So they are close. I have no idea about his intangibles and things though. Malik was relentless with a super high motor. I think this kid might be the same way just a little more raw currently. Kongbo could easily hold 285lbs or 290lbs on that enormous 6'6 frame. At that point he would look like deforest Buckner from Oregon. I think he was like 6'7 291lbs at the combine and could play inside/outside. Sky is the limit for Kongbo though for sure.

Anybody else see McFarland not even have Barnett in his top 5 defensive lineman in the SEC?

I laughed

No Barnett . It was laughable.

Dude has Bryan Cox Jr as the second best DL in the league. He's good but that's wayyy too strong. He's maybe top 10 in the SEC. He then said 220lb DE Marquis Haynes would have been no.6 on his list.

He said LSU has the edge over Bama Bc they have 3 arrests and no leadership lmao. Booger has been pretty embarrassing lately on most things.

Haven't had much use for him since he jumped into the ESPN witch hunt feet first and DEMANDED Peyton do a sit down concerning 20 year old (settled) issues. Peyton refused and Anthony is still Booger. :hmm:
