You're right. Probably an overreaction by me.

We shouldn't be concerned about potentially entering the season with 2 tackles. One being a redshirt freshman and the other is a guy who couldn't cement a spot on some horrid offensive lines and was beat out by a true frosh who is now on the shelf it seems.

Didn't Chance Hall miss spring practice with a shoulder injury? And IIRC, he missed his entire senior season in HS with a torn Achilles. He's had his share of serious injuries, but seems to bounce back.

So we'll have Kendrick at RT and Richmond at LT. If Hall can get back in the rotation by the Florida game, it won't be that bad. That's six weeks away.

Saying a kid isn't an SEC player isn't really talking bad about them IMO. I don't believe Bonds is an SEC player.

He may prove me wrong. Hope he does.

Who's even ruled him out of the opening game...or the next practice?

No one is saying we shouldn't be concerned. But, 1) information about this is really sparse to non-existent now, so we have no idea what the injury is, if there even is one, the extent of it, etc., and 2) injuries are going to happen, even to key contributors. If Tennessee can't absorb this and be alright then they truly were as overhyped as the media said.

The staff manages the injury situations by having them sit out or limit their participation without fanfare and media focus. Even if Hall is seriously injured, which none of us know yet, Kendrick is more than capable of handling RT. As I posted last week, all 3 freshmen are ahead of the learning curve and have added good weight/strength. Add in Jack Jones. It will all work out.

Hopefully it means that Kendrick has improved as much as some are saying.

3 guys battling for those positions and getting whipped in scrimmages. The lone returning starter may be out with injury.

Not a good day if it's true.

Lot's of OTs are gonna get whipped by our DL.

You still concerned about DE depth?

If he is out for significant time, that is a pretty big hit to our depth, even if he was not going to be the starter. I am sure we can find bodies to put in there, but I sincerely hope he's back soon, as our depth is not terrific at OT.

Hopefully he's just banged up and they are taking precautions and it's nothing more. But it is a concerning spot to have an injury. Still no chatter on other sites about this?

Butch's policy for injury news sequestration is what breeds all the negative speculation.

I think his policy backfires on its intended goal (which was to limit all the negative speculation) like we saw with M. North last fall. If he'd just release actual injury information, the Basilio's of the world wouldn't stir up all the controversy.

I could see keeping things quiet during game week so you don't tip off your opponent to anything... but its fall camp...there is nothing to be gained by keeping the identities of those injured and the severity of the injuries under wraps. JMO.

I love how there hasn't been any confirmation of Hall even being injured and people are talking about how they hope he is able to be back soon. He probably stubbed his toe and Butch made him ice it down. It's like TonyBologna is channeling multiple VN accounts because none of y'all seem to be listening to reasonable posters on this. Don't start pulling Hall out of a starting position he hasn't officially earned to place him on IR and certain RS status until we hear something a little more firm than warm jello that he is actually seriously injured.

Edit: Just read additional post. I still don't think all the speculation is healthy. We have zero facts and only third or fourth hand information passed through equipment managers to their roommates and the guy that he sits next to at Chik-Fil-A.
