What does that have to do with anything? We sucked for a decade and they were loaded virtually every year. Now we're loaded and they both have major question marks. Time to win.

My point is that for the past decade they have been better than us. More talent on both sides of the ball.

I'm not freaking out. Difference in me and the majority of this board is I'm hoping for 10-2 with a win over Florida and hopefully making it to Atlanta.

An injury at OT was one of the things I was concerned would happen that could end up in an extra loss or two. Margin for error is slim in this league.

Call it a freak out if it makes you feel good. Reality is that an injury to Hall is not something to sneeze at.

One thing that's pissing me off about VQ these days is how Hubbs, Fort, Austin, etc., have a tendency to disappear for prolonged periods of time when there's a big rumor floating around.

I think it may be intentional, to be honest. It keeps their subscribers refreshing the page and increases posts as people speculate on what's going on. I don't have a 247 sub, but it seems like Ryan, Rucker, and now Brice tend to respond almost immediately when there's any kind of chatter going on about the program.

Meh, I'm with you. I'm hoping for 10-2. Anything more is gravy. Too many unpredictable variables, including injuries. So I tried to build those in.

Nah, don't think so. One, we are taking our 4 year old to her first game, and being that she's gonna hopefully be sitting still (relatively) for 3.5 hours during the game, we're probably gonna be getting around a lot throughout the day. And two, we're hoping to take 1-2 kids from church that are in school up there out to lunch.

What about you? I'd like to meet some of you guys sometime

BigZiti: this is the year. I have been a brake pumper most of the time since about 2010 up until now because we were clearly rebuilding. Now we have arrived. Our team is loaded with NFL prospects and we need to embrace and own the expectations just like butch jones has. At a program like Tennessee, there comes a point where you need to prove it on the field and perform when people expect you to perform. That time is now.

And I'm confident we will. I plan to enjoy every minute of it. Rather than cowering behind my couch while we play Florida, praying nothing disastrous will happen, I plan to confidently talk trash leading up to, during and after the game to all the Florida fans I know because I fully expect us to win. Same goes for pretty much every game on the schedule.

The good times are back!
