There are no perfect coaches and every single one is on a journey in their careers. Some are wiser than others and learn from mistakes as well as successes. Way too early to make a call on Butch's career and there is zero reason to compare it to anybody else.

I definitely think the Florida game is a crossroad for Butch's career. Lose that game and it may spell doom for him, long term. Win that game and it may catapult him to great heights.

If Clemson's AD had this same mentality, they would have fired Dabo.

This is absolutely wrong. I never concluded that. I said is it possible and has anyone heard anything it could be. Also nowhere have I ever said Butch consulted Rick for advice as another poster suggested . I said they knew each other. This is exactly why I hesitate to bring things to this board and post more. You get crucified on here by people that half read what you post , jump to their own conclusions as to what you are thinking, and then blast you for it.

Hey Maxwell..I hope you see this. I wasn't meaning to bash you, and certainly not crucify you for that. It was just crazy to me that a whole bunch of posters took what you said, (which really wasn't a conclusion, more of a surmising) and were thinking you said Rick Neuheisel was talking about the Jumper rumor, which you obviously did not say. I apologize for the poor wording of my post.

Evan actually is good. Misused but he's good and coaches should've moved him to offense.

I've wondered if it is just misuse, or the reason I gave? Maybe he and Elliot are satisfied with just being role players, and not really pushing/practicing/preparing for higher profile roles.
