1. I have never turned off a Tennessee game. My internet feed was bad tonight, and the play on the field was worse. I mailed it in at half-time, for the first time ever. Just absolutely no enjoyment to be found.

2. This team has regressed since last season. I cannot begin to imagine how the same group of players who turned the corner against UGA, and never looked back, come out this year and look awful. Yes, we are still holding back on offense, but it is so... SO much more than that. I cannot predict outcomes based on reason anymore. It doesn't make sense, so I'm predicting on what I see, not what I should see. Right now, as is, I see a 3 loss team. Pre-season, I couldn't find 1 loss.

3. The offensive line and offense as a whole are so discombobulated, I can't comprehend it. We should have scored 50+, but are scrapping to get the W, once again.

4. The attitude around here, my post included, are nearly post-Arkansas game from last year. Shockingly, we are 3-0, with a shot to beat Florida, and UGA looking weaker than they have in years. For what it is, we are still the team to beat in the East, but we can't afford losses to Eastern Division teams in the event of tie breakers. Bama and A&M look really tough right now, but we have to beat Florida and UGA. We can do that, but who the heck knows how the team will show up?

5. Injuries are obviously destroying a talented group. A few more at key positions, and we could be in a very bad spot. It's time for those back up LB's to strap it on, and the young DB's need to get ready for the big lights.

6. After watching the Louisville game, and other teams with aggressive offenses, I make a sad. Our defense is awesome, and our DC is top notch. We should be loose and wild on offense, but we run plays like we've got pinecones lodged in our hindquarters. We should be running up and down the field.

I will find it flat out impossible to continue supporting Butch if, in year 4, he loses at home to an already average Gators team next week with either a terrible backup QB or a freshman who has never taken a college snap under center.

Half our defense may be hurt right now, but the DL is still healthy and UF's OL isn't good.

Let Shoop do his thing and take the leash off Dobbs.

We WIN!

Butch hiring a washed up football coach coaching swimming for the last few years to be his OC just so he can boss around, or fear of hiring some new hot shot to take away his swag is biting him in the a** now. Saban hires gurus as consultants, and here we had Butch hire a swimming coach. When Butch is fired, he's gonna remember that moment and regret it.

A dang SWIM COACH

I ALWAYS appreciate your analysis and typically always agree. We beat 🐊 this week IMO

Craziest thing about this team is everyone can see the talent is there. And everyone knows we aren't playing close to our potential. When will we do it is my question.

Tis the question. I think we play to level of competition (I know, cliche).

Virginia Tech game was one where we didn't even play a complete game and still dominated. Great to see Josh Malone showing up every game so far though. He's arguably been the MVP of the offense so far. Making big plays for us.

Bring back Lawson! These boys weak as hell this year. It's probably not a coincidence.

This team is mentally weak but most of our problems are still on the OL which is playing pitiful.

I do wonder if the S&C change has harmed us though. Overall, we are soft and I haven't seen a CBJ team with such a lack of discipline and heart. This team always had an edge to it it and will to win but those things seem missing right now.

Malone has definitely stepped up. He's playing with passion too (wish our OL could catch some of that passion).

Not sure how it could be argued. He's doing a very good job. Glad to see he is proving me wrong. I wasn't sure he would turn the corner.

Is there a Kelley Washington on this team that we don't know about? Because that time frame is what this team is starting to remind me of. Talented but undisciplined. And right now, they're even uninspired.

I've got my eye on Arkansas giving us an assist with Florida, late in the season.

I think Auburn beats UGA too. I am quite sure Ole Miss gets them this week. Ole Miss averaging over 38 points a game, having played Bama and FSU. The only way UGA wins that is if Chubb goes for 250 and Kelly throws 3 picks.

Beat Florida and UGA loses an SEC game this week? That would sure brighten the mood.

Honestly, for me beating Florida would make this season a success regardless of what happened after. I'm not scared of UGA at all and if TAMU follows its usual pattern it will collapse midseason (I know some are worried about Kyle being a tough enivronment but for some reason AtM plays better away from home than at home). But the game that matters is this week.

So he coached swimming? :)

Szerszen was already here. Just started running the workouts, taking over for Lawson. Players seem more than PHYSICALLY ready and the injuries are happening in GAMES as opposed to Fall camp. Maybe doing different versions of jumping jacks would curtail broken bones in the feet? :)

It would be interesting to know what is going on in the locker room right now. Yes we are 3-0 and I am grateful- but this team looks like they could care less sometimes and that is something the team has NEVER done under Butch. Even when we finished short of getting to a bowl, the team never quit. What is going on now? Is there some locker room division we don't know about? Does this have something to do with what Rick Neuheisel claimed that Butch is dealing with stress that a coach shouldn't have to deal with? Is the team just suddenly lazy? Changing S&C coach now looks to have been a monumental mistake as well as letting players take it easy in camp this year. I think some of it is that - but there seems to be something else going on. The penalties, the mistakes, sleepwalking through games most of the time. It's just hard to find confidence that somehow the team comes out this week and plays lights out football for the first time start to finish. I hope they do- I don't think my blood pressure can take another FL loss. But take off your orange glasses and we all have to admit this is truly shocking and something none of us expected to see. Out of 3 games, we have maybe played like we halfway cared for 3 quarters. Unacceptable.

I didn't watch the game live but did watch a recording last night after knowing the score.

One of the keys to me is we didn't run Dobbs much if at all in the first half (the curse of the vanilla offense). When we started running him in the second half our offense looked better. Dobbs has to hit open receivers though - no excuses there, in year four for him. He could have thrown for 300+ yards yesterday.

We have a large running back at QB who also has a serviceable arm. As long as we use him like that in league play I think we will see a lot more VT games than App State games going forward.

We can win the east even with these injuries.
