It would be interesting to know what is going on in the locker room right now. Yes we are 3-0 and I am grateful- but this team looks like they could care less sometimes and that is something the team has NEVER done under Butch. Even when we finished short of getting to a bowl, the team never quit. What is going on now? Is there some locker room division we don't know about? Does this have something to do with what Rick Neuheisel claimed that Butch is dealing with stress that a coach shouldn't have to deal with? Is the team just suddenly lazy? Changing S&C coach now looks to have been a monumental mistake as well as letting players take it easy in camp this year. I think some of it is that - but there seems to be something else going on. The penalties, the mistakes, sleepwalking through games most of the time. It's just hard to find confidence that somehow the team comes out this week and plays lights out football for the first time start to finish. I hope they do- I don't think my blood pressure can take another FL loss. But take off your orange glasses and we all have to admit this is truly shocking and something none of us expected to see. Out of 3 games, we have maybe played like we halfway cared for 3 quarters. Unacceptable.

Calm down ma'am. Let the Xanax take effect. :)

Out for an evening walk and I cross paths with a snake. Got excited, tis cobra season, ya know.

Got my phone light on him, but pretty sure it wasn't a cobra. Else, I would have laid waste and secured victory

Szerszen was already here. Just started running the workouts, taking over for Lawson. Players seem more than PHYSICALLY ready and the injuries are happening in GAMES as opposed to Fall camp. Maybe doing different versions of jumping jacks would curtail broken bones in the feet? :)

I wasn't referring to injuries but to the poster who'd pointed out that this team plays weak and the mention of the change at S&C. I don't know if it's made any difference but I do tend to agree that our team has been playing weak. I think it's more mental than physical.

Dammit, Nick. That was my snake and you were supposed to take care of him!

Definitely mental. Fundamentals seem to be suffering too...but they get there in a hurry. :)

Speaking of fundamentals, stayed up and watched that Cal/Texas barnburner! When are HCs going to focus on carrying the ball into the end zone before tossing it?

I am going to have to rewatch the game later when a rerun is on tv. It was a little frustrating to watch with the little amount I did as I had a date with a pretty lady which included watching the game as part of it. Never done that before, but that was pretty cool.

Welp Austin Appelby just challenged us folks.

Basically said he's not scared of playing in Neyland because he's "played in big stadiums before".

Let's rattle his ass from the opening whistle!

Also, I love seeing how Texas lost to Cal. The media pushed them up from unranked to 11th after beating ND because they were so excited they were back. If this doesn't prove to you the bias of the media with the polls I dunno what will.

He's lost in the biggest one at Michigan...Penn State...loses at Neyland and he gets a free prostrate exam. :pinch:

Longhorn fans will whine that they were robbed. Dude ran for 50 yards on a must stop before the mind fart. Best thing that Cal was allowed to kneel on the one...Texas got BEAT.

They're going to have to break that mental block in hurry. I actually think we're better off on defense than most people think despite the injuries to Cam and DKjr. I think Buchanan did a pretty good job given the circumstances and he flashed a lot of potential.

I'm anxious about the MLB spot as we all are so here's to hoping we find someone who can step it up. Jumper was more serviceable than he's been in the past and even had some good plays but he still reacts way too slowly for SEC play.

Offense. I don't even know how we fix the OL. Running Dobbs and the offense wide open would help tons but it's still a mess. Does anyone know if Hall will be back for UF?

Media will probably whine with them lol. Suck it shorthorn fans.

We need twitter and the local news to blast his comments out to fans like they did when OU made similar comments. The gauntlet was thrown down. Fans need to be aware of it.

Well everyone from Jesse Palmer to all the guys on SEC nation are saying that Georgia is the team to watch in the East especially with our injuries and now Florida injury with Del Rio. Forgive me for pointing out that a true freshman threw a clutch 4th down to win the game. I have bled orange my whole life and honestly this team so far is painful to watch. Maybe you all are seeing something else that I don't see. I see that we are not a good team right now.

You need to find something in life to relieve stress. You get too worked up over what the FF says and now what Jesse Palmer says. It seems like you only started doing this the last 3 games. Do you do this in your daily life?

I saw on Friday that WhatifSports simulated our game with Ohio something like 10k times (they do this with all games I think). We won 70% of the time and the average score differential was 11 points.

I literally read posts on this message board pre-Ohio game worried about the combination of noon-game-against-MAC-opponent and whether the team would come out kind of flat.
And that they did, and still won, and are 3-0 In a college football season where favored teams are dropping like flies... I'll take it, gladly.

There's a weird tone of sourness and whining and hand-wringing on this message board. Based on the 9 years I've been posting, I know it's bound to improve as the week goes on, but still...
