Why not get the ball in Berry's hands as much as possible?

My vote is Kamara needs more touches than Berry. Punt return is a different animal.

Edit: Is it me or does Berry look a little bit faster and more aggressive than last year? He seems pissed off when he takes off. I love it.

If this happens, watch it be jumper who makes the hit that knocks Appleby out. Haha.

I can see it. We're up 14 late in the 4th and Jumper sacks Appleby for an 8 yard loss on 2nd down. VN explodes with happiness.

But then Franks comes into the game and looks like Tim Tebow with a 5th year of eligibility. In a final crushing blow, he runs over Jumper on a 2-point conversion with no time left to win the game instead of going to OT.

I laughed and then cried at this.

Because this is so Tennessee.

Let Berry field punts. I don't understand how we let games go by without getting the ball in his hands at least a couple times. Just throw him a screen and let him work.

He isn't good on punt returns. He's a straight forward runner. Not as strong laterally. That's why Cam and AK are great at it.

My only concern is OL. I don't think they'll move the ball much against our D and our DL should be all over Appleby. But their DL vs our OL is worrisome. If chance can play maybe that will sure things up. Need to get CT off the field

Dobbs is the equalizer here IMO. Our O is hitting on all cylinders but theirs will seize up completely once our DL stuffs their run game and plants Applepie a few times!

No. You don't want a true FR fielding punts in a game of this magnitude for the first time in his college career.

You're wrong, I do want that guy fielding punts. Dude is unbelievably athletic and an big time competitor. The dude I don't want returning punts is one of the most important guys on offense (Kamara). Can't lose him.

You talking about wanting Byrd to field punts? I've said all along since we got him that he should be our PR guy just to give Sutton & Kamara some rest & allow them not to be tired come 4th quarter.

Byrd is a dynamic player & can return punts. He's also the fastest guy on the team just ahead of Evan Berry & Sutton. Let him have more touches in some type of way & PR's is one way for sure.

I know Cam is awesome at it, but I actually think Kamara is better at returning punts. Didn't he take one back last year as well?

That's the million dollar struggle.

Do you want to get Kamara more or less touches? At the risk of injury? Hard to say sure since JRM plays punt coverage and got hurt but... you play to win the game as someone once said.

I'm leaning toward Kamara because he's got more experience. And fielding punts will be critical in this game.

Kamara better get touches this week. If he's nonexistent the way he was in this game last year it won't be good. He must get the ball

Kamara tired in the 4th quarter...haha.

That would require him getting legitamite touches

Honestly I don't know why they aren't on the field together every single play excluding a goal line package. It's not difficult to use him as a receiver or tailback.

That should scare you. I've watched you all. The teams you're playing are HORRIBLE. Think about this, Southern Miss had more rushing yards versus Kentucky than you all. And you were trying to run the ball. Your offense was pitiful with Del Rio and it still is. McElwain is a clown too. Getting mad because his QB got hit and hurt. How are you mad and it wasn't a cheap shot you clown azz coach. I can't wait til Saturday at 2:30.

dude we had 244 rushing and 320 passing HAHA terrible game wtf were we doing out there?? pitful :eek:lol:

man this gonna be so fun yall boys dont even know lol bet most on think this defense isnt even as good as last year

collins in his second year has the best defense at floirda sine 12 florida and maybe even better yep i said and im pretty damn convinced

He doesn't have to have more touches to get tired. Kamara gets quite a bit of snaps at both RB & in the slot. He also blocks on plays as well. So, yes he can still get tired even if he's not running the ball 20+ times a game. Add to that the PR's as well. Thanks!
