I was one you may be referencing. I'm not disappointed they drop them, but I wish they'd pick up the phone and call them or tell them face to face.

Its cowardly and tells us they know what they are doing is far from honorable. If they were up front on the front end they would communicate thru the end of process.

Little girls want to spend time with daddy. If they know you love something then they are likely to love it to so she can have that connection to you. It's important to love good wholesome things so your daughters do too.

I had the honor of going to 3 games this year with my daughter. She has the Big Orange Bug in a big way. It was awesome the talk from Nashville to the game and home. I hope she always wants to go....

12. She has just really gotten into it in the last 2 years. If your child is 10 or under and doesn't care about football, don't sweat it.

My son is 7 and can't understand why our DTs aren't better. He would be a better poster than I. lol

God Bless you and your family.

My oldest is 11 and starting to get really into it. Loves to wear orange to school. :)

My 7 year old wears her orange every Friday before gameday and hates Georgia. We live in Atlanta. It's glorious.

Same. All of her big wants this year for Christmas involve UT clothing. Makes a dad proud.

My oldest son is 9, and bleeds orange!! Virtually every piece of clothing he wears has to have some element of orange in it.
He also plays qb on his B league team, and of course, wears #11!🍊🍊

Ill snap a pic of his room later and post it up, y'all will get a kick out of it.

Great post, glicht. My "little girl" will be delivering a second grandson in two months.

My little girl was all girl growing up. I did teach her to golf later on and she lettered 4 years in HS. She did not like to watch football and baseball, never dated an athlete, and really wasn't all that interested in music. She was a kid magnet though - little kids are drawn to her like moths to a flame.

Now, my little girl stays on the phone with me throughout every UT football game despite her husband having no interest in the sport and being a musician in church as his hobby. She makes her own observations and asks great questions. When not pregnant my little girl can go play a round of golf, play from the men's senior tees, and shoot in the upper 70's to low 80's without having played/practiced in weeks. My little girl spends time trying to understand the intricacies of baseball and loves to go to Smokies games. Wants us to take them to a Reds game this summer.

You never know how things will turn out. However, doing the right thing for your children when they are young is never the wrong thing to do. I am a blessed man.

I'm a little jealous of you. My son is almost 9 and doesn't play many sports and doesn't like football. All video games, all the time.

He did find it amusing when I ran around the house screaming after JJ burned Tabor down the sideline,so I'm holding out hope for him.

Where do you live in Atlanta? My family and I live in Newnan, which is about 35 miles or so south of the airport off of I 85.

I have two girls. The four year old knows Rocky Top but that's about it. The ten year old has the bug... she has been increasingly asking about the roles of different players, etc. she's also understanding why I watch other CFB games to root for/against different teams because it affects the Vols. Heck, my wife doesn't even get that idea most of the time.

I don't push it too much - just like fishing and hunting - because I figure that's a sure way they will grow up hating something. I just show my enthusiasm for those sort of things and now I have two girls who love fishing, hunting, and the Big Orange.
*at least, until they become teenagers !!

I know we all hate Franklin but psu wanted him fired last year with a 7-6 record, now playing on conference title game. I know the irony is we have his dc now but point is it can happen any year.

They did beat OU in Norman.

That was a good win. Ito just hard to justify sending somebody to the championship when they can't win their conference. Either add more teams to include non conference champions. Or break up the conferences.

With the exception of a few (and they will get together for the snacks and fun atmosphere) everyone in my family loves football. If we aren't actually at the game, then we make game day such a big deal, that you can't help but get caught up in it. We have fun. Even my 6 year old grand daughter cheers for the VOLS. (shakers, Touchdown signs, wears the orange/white) I am sad it's almost over.

It's been a frustrating year, but you can't deny that the Georgia game was incredible. What an emotional rollercoaster.
