I don't think it's odd. I guess he could be another Blair, but after not signing a HS DT last year we are gonna need AJ the next 2 years. Hope he isn't a bust.

I would rather give up 50 to Bama then 45 to freaking Vanderbilt. That Vandy game was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. One of the most embarrassing losses I have seen since becoming a Tennessee fan.

If I was him I would cut my own salary 500k and put it as and addition towards the best assistant I could hire. Is anyone impressed with Larry Scott?

Agree and I am peeved also, but he is our coach next year. Have to hope we progress. Does us no bueno to have another Dooley final season.

That surprised me. Scott was supposed to be this homerun hire that would immediately elevate our recruiting and the performance of our right ends. People said he might be the best tight end coach in America. None of that has happened. From basically non existent, Wolfe had a meh year, and recruiting is mediocre. Who have we got from Florida that is a top recruit? We just sent the 4 star packing

I don't even know how to grade our TE position it's so woefully under utilized. Don't think we can blame Scott for that.

Tyler Byrd is very nice but outside of that not sure I am impressed in any way. One of our lowest rated recruiters, not sure he improved his into responsibility. Maybe I am not seeing the whole picture but the recruiting has not proven this year at all.

I was there until today. I knew Dooley was finished before the KY loss. I have never been as convinced with Butch. Willing to see if he makes the staff changes.

Also, I have been super critical of Shoop but willing to give benefit of doubt. If we had a "normal" Shoop D this year we would have been 10-2 at worst. Let's allow him bring in his guys and implement his terminology. This will prove CBJ can be our guy. You can't manifest a Sabam or Meyer. They are twice in a generation coaches.
