Elephants trust their freshman QB to make the proper reads during the game. How many times have we seen Dobbs throw to the hot read on a corner blitz? How many times have we seen our coaches show displeasure at our QB for not making the right read on the read option? It's obvious to me that we handcuffed him, especially in certain games, his whole career. Frustrating.

I really want us to get a GOOD OC and for butch to just let him coach. Don't even have to change scheme imo (except fix the route combinations). Just call the game aggressively and let the QB run the offense the way it needs to be.

Give me a break. Did Bama's QB throw more than 2 vertical passes?

When you're playing a garbage team you can throw behind the line and hand off all game in order to win easily.

My son cried after the candy loss. To put it into perspective for him I told him I was just glad he is healthy, as it was right after the bus tragedy in Chattanooga. We all love football, it is a part of our lives, but at the end of the day the quality of our lives shouldn't be affected by it. And the sun DID actually rise the next morning.

No matter how much angst we have, how we feel isn't gonna change anything about the situation. So I choose to just hope for the best and not stress over it like I used to. Watching how poorly my son reacts during a game has really made me re-evaluate how I handle myself during games. When I tell him not to be so negative and don't get so upset he says...... "Well you do it"..... So I have to realize he is always watching me and learns behaviors from me.

Sorry for the long post.

Side note, my phone auto corrects vandy to candy and I think it's funny so I don't fix it

That was me and I stand by it. Sumlin has had his chance in the SEC. He has been loaded with talent, and is an 8-4 coach. The other guys on the other hand, have taken garbage programs to great success. I would rather take a chance with one of them than with Sumlin who has proven that he is no better than average in the SEC

Correct, they are coached to sprint to the ball, all the while watching their angles and potential blockers, very fluid. Our guys look like robots compared and usually sit and wait flat footed, not on their toes on someone to come block them and then struggle to pull off the block... our guys almost never sprint to the ball. Then our DBs..... oh, our DBs.... don't even get me started...
