Yes and go back and look, there were 15 teams you could have argued for that belonged in a 8 team tourney

So the conference championship game losers would be hurt by playing and losing their title game and likely not make it in But teams who didn't win their division would likely bump over them because an extra loss.

I predicted right after they approved the playoffs that it would end up with at least 16 teams. My case was based on March Madness. The field of 64 format was perfect and they couldn't even leave that success alone...ergo playin games. Boulder started rolling already.

ProbabIy too many games and too few many weeks to play this set up but I would be ok with doing away with conference championship games. Winners of all P5 conference divisions get playoff birth. Have 4 at-large teams play a "play-in" game. Left with 12 team playoff and top 2 teams get a 1st round bye.

Back to the bowl predictions, I just saw a couple of ESPN writers predicting us to play Indiana in the MCB. Even as bad our defense has looked down the stretch, I would expect that match-up to result in us blowing out another Big 10 team in a bowl game. Whoever we get, I sure hope we can end this thing out with a win. It just makes the off-season more bearable.

I'd like to play Nebraska so it can least have a little intrigue.

we will play Nebraska and they will be jacked and will probably beat us at this point. I have a hard time believing Butch will have our guys focused and mentally ready to play in this bowl. It will be the classic case of one team not wanting to be there and puts up a half arse performance...

Entire season or right now, if right now USC Trojans belong in this listing. Drop the bottom two and add Clemson and USC. Fighting Harbos lost 2 of their last 3 games,

Entire season. Even right now I believe Michigan is one of the four best teams in the country.


Their defense would swallow up Clemson and USC.

Agree to disagree. Neutral field I think USC and Clemson would win a close game (say 21 - 17). UM is offensively challenged these last few weeks
