I thought that, too. I read a Michigan article that said their EEs were planning on practicing, though. So if they sign papers in time, maybe they can.

We are obviously not going to be Bama level anytime soon, so something realistic.

Good with this. What Bama is doing is ridiculous and we shouldn't expect it. But we should expect a shot at the SEC every season. Sometimes we'll get there and sometimes we won't, but we should be in position to compete for the SEC every season from now on if Butch is the guy. The east is terrible and we have the most talent. Plain and simple

Lately the EE's don't participate in team activities until the first day of classes. I recall some EE's witnessing bowl practice lately though.

Barton is a Vandy grad- I don't listen to anything he says. It was a save face piece and clearly in response to yesterday.

Shawn Elliott, South Carolina's O-line coach, will be the head coach at Georgia State.

He and Charlie Cobb, AD, spent a lot of time together and know each other well from their days at App St.

Elliott is a pretty solid recruiter and energy guy for USCjr so I'm happy to see this.

All I am saying is the results are there. People can criticize Butch about alot of things, but there are two that are constant: 1. He can recruit. 2. His players play hard for him.

He has found a way to take guys early who he would put on his roster while still recruiting guys further up the board. If the guys further up the board jump in, then he let's some go. That way, you aren't left with nothing on Signing Day.

I think 247 needs to realize what they are. They're not hard hitting journalists digging up dirt on the program they cover. They're a fan site that makes money off of how much fans like what they write. They're only hurting themselves by writing (questionably sourced) stories that paint that program in a bad light.
