Obviously it was a **** show in the end, but 2009 is the only year in the last 10 that I can honestly say we overachieved on the field. Do you disagree?

I was at the Auburn game. If you call that overachieving, well we define the word in totally different ways.

He wasn't and isn't a good enough coach to overcome the fact that he is a slimeball.

Could probably benefit from a redshirt year in 2017. Come back full strength in 2018.

I'm not sure about redshirt year, but I think he should miss at least the first 3 games.

Scout reported that last week he likely won't play at all next season. I am afraid he may never play again or never be the same when he does play.

This is why defensive tackle needs to be a priority every single recruiting class. I know I am a broken record on the DT position but it is the most important position on the defense in my book. It is where it all starts and it's where games are won and lost in this league. We've got to get better there and our home state doesn't produce SEC tackles regularly.

Yeah, we need serious help now. I'm hoping Butch can find an elite JUCO and a grad transfer as a stop-gap. We need a couple of able bodies that can contribute day 1.

Deer lord!..and people wonder why BVS is so rampant. What a crappy thing to happen to a really talented young man. It hurts him way more than it ever will the team. We can at least try to replace him with another talented player, he may never get back his ability. I hope and pray he can come back as good as ever...For his sake, not VNs.

Man, DT is definitely a concern. Still have Vickers, need Kmac to be healthy asap. Hopefully AJ is developed and comes along quickly. Bain showed some flashes. We have Crosby and Bennet in, hopefully those guys can contribute early. Are either of them EE's? Is there another Juco were after?

They recruited the hell out of Derrick Brown and had Cristmas-Giles committed. That is really hot a fair criticism. DB went down to the wire. I think he made them think they had him. A lot of people did.

With the change at Oregon, any chance on Rutger Reitmeier out of Nashville? Not Juco but still could help with some DT depth

I don't know..he may and probably will play again, but I really doubt he can be as good. I don't think anybody should burden him with that expectation.
