SCar is my bet on being a surprise out of the East (other than UT) to the media. UT has the ability to win 10 games. I think SCar can surprise with a year under their belt with Muschamp at the helm of their defense. The guy knows his defense and we all know what a good defense can do in this league.

It would be fun for usc to beat both uf and uga in ugly error laden low scoring games. Then to have Tennessee totally decimate usc to destroy any chance of them leading the east.

:)

And if Tennessee beats the snot out of usc, should CBJ get a raise and extension on the spot?

I honestly don't understand "fans" like you...I guess you're just keeping it real?

I am more the "fan"atic type that looks forward to the upcoming season as a chance for our team to have great games. I think this team will surprise the media and realists.

I do as well. This team has a really good chance to surprise a lot of folks this year. Very talented, upgraded coaching staff, upgraded strength and conditioning program, etc. I'm cautiously optimistic. However if Tennessee doesn't win at least 8 and slips up a couple times like they did last year to teams they have no business losing to, it'll be time to cut ties with Jones. This is Tennessee. Ain't no mid level school, son.

Been on VN a while so I figure I would share the news. Proud dad to a new Vol! Apologize for the sideways photo.

Congrats, man. Light one up.

That 5* was overrated (even people on this board thought that when he was committed to us) and the two 4*s don't look good. Doesn't matter how many great receivers you have if you can't get them the ball. Feaster is a great talent and will probably be fine and you're right about the Oline. Like I said. I'm thinking 05 Vols for Clemson this year. Great defense, bad offense finish anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4.

They haven't looked as bad as you wish. One of them will be able to do the job and they are better at every other position on the field than South Carolina. All of them are better than Cole Stoudt and they were able to squeeze 10 wins out of him and a FR Deshaun Watson who beat South Carolina playing with a torn ACL.

Even if they can't throw the ball as well as in the past they may have their most talented RB and definitely their best OL since they began their run. They still have Deon Cain, Renfrow, and McCloud at WR and guys like Diondre Overton that hasn't even been able to crack the starting OL yet. Tee Higgins will probably play too.

Their recruiting class was light years better than South Carolina's. For every Jamyest Williams you name, they got AJ Terrell and LeAnthony Williams.

The defense is going to be smothering and might be the best in the country.

I know you think that South Carolina's offense will be explosive, but it is still Kurt Roper, who made everyone at UF worse.

I do think South Carolina will be better than last year, but have a worse record. Muschamp had a great defense at UF, but has no where near the talent now. His defense at AU in 2015 was just ok and last years at USC was pedestrian. They have no one the caliber of the players he had at UF and doesn't appear to be acquiring them through recruiting.

No. If he beats the snot out of Alabama, we'll talk.

Glad to see Phil back in the UT system! He has always been a great ambassador for Tennessee.

Boom!

Oh....and they announced it on my birthday!

How old you gonna be? I bet you have to measure it in eons. Word on the street is that when you served you called your superiors sire instead of sir.
